As long as Rob remains -nothing else matters. He absolutely made Twilight the success it is. Without Rob, the movie was flat and boring so hopefully they will have more Rob in New Moon

The 2nd book was great- who would chance missing it on film? I think the cast themselves had a lot to do with Twilight's success- maybe it wasn't all the directing?

I love the books and no matter who directed it I will go see it. I think that people are just over reacting to Catherine not directing it. Chris is a good director (Golden Compass was great) and I am looking forward to what he will bring to the movie. Catherine brought her female romantic values to the movie and I am conerned that Chris may not get this about the books. Overall though he brings a variety of other qualities that will make New Moon very interesting to see.

The actors is what makes the movies. The only bad move i see is not rehiring The original Jacob.

it'll be more interesting now to see this movie because of the chaos around it and i believe the new director would see to it that he'll do a good job because he might get the same treatment from the fangirls in twilight. don't get me wrong i love the movie and i will support anything that would come up with. i think that would be the right attitude, right fangirls? cheers!

I am really looking forward to the next movie. I only hope that the new director follows the book a little more closely than Hardwicke did. Maybe that's one of the reason why she's not doing the sequel. Either way I can't wait!!

I must say I'm actually a bit disappointed with Hardwicke. Not that she directs its bad, but maybe I set my hope too high before goin' to watch this film.

Harry Potter had couple of films with different directors but some of it were awful and it's worth reading HPbooks than Watching it. Twilight has a taste, sexuality, action!

People shouldn't just not see the movie because of the director. The whole movie wouldn't even have been reated if it wasnt for the books! i will definitly see all the movies no matter who is directing or who plays whatever character.

I really did not like what Catherine did with the first movie! I thought she had everything to make it a great one (the cast, the location, etc...) but it came out as an endless trailer! Too fast and too much action!

I heard that the new director for the movie "New Moon" is the one who directed the movie "The Golden Compass".
I am very excited to see the outcome! I think it will be better than the first movie, interms of graphics and quality. I hope they can include more scenes from the novel this time, but I understand that its hard to cram eerything into a 2hour film :) Can't wait until it reaches theatres! -
it will be more interesting since it is not just the director that makes a movie beautiful but also the casts and script (story)! i've read New Moon and i just hope that they will have more scenes for Rob (although Edward left). Hmm.. i can't wait to see the sequel New Moon, Bella's heartaches, Edward going to Volturi, a suspense that we must have to see in this upcoming movie.

You know what? From what I have learn from each of the 4 directors of the harry potter series, was that each director brings forth a different viewing point of that one world!!! So who knows what this new director for the twilight series will bring forth. you know what, you never know. That is what!!!

Catherine was fantastic with Twilight ~ but I do think it will be very interesting with a new director since New Moon is so different. I will see them all because I enjoy the story.

The only thing that made me stop seeing the movie's is the person who writes the books,well I used to be fun ,that stopped when she decide to stop writing the books.I just believe that a real writer would not stop for nothing to make their readers happy. aslong as kelan luts (emmett cullen) stays im all for it... he is sooooooo gorgouse, not that rob isent, he deffinantly is but emmitt is my favourite! but i have to say jackson rathbone(jasper cullen) is also soooooooo gorgous and carlisl cullen is by far the hotest dad EVER! i realy do think that taylor(jacob black) is also REALY HOT AND GORGOUS! i love all o' them .... :D

This is bare bones: 1)The Twilight book was not as good as the "exceptional slant" Twilight movie. 2) New Moon bk is not as "good" as the Twilight bk. 3) As of this point in time, if all involved wait, and process the future actions for the 2nd movie, all will finally come up with a good plan for 2nd movie. 4) Huge potential for floppiness: "rushed 2nd movie". C. Hardwicke has been rescued by being a dropped director.

Stephanie is such a talented writer I believe that most directors could make the movie a success... Its the love that Bella and Edward have that make the movie so great, and Kristen and Robert have great chemistry on screen..I hope its as good I loved the first one and as far as I could it was almost true to the book so I suppose if they keep it true to New Moon the book it will be just as big of a success... I read all four books in 3 days and am dying for New Moon the movie!!! Hope we don't have to wait to long!!!

I think that it will be good even with a a differant director it will be interesting to see though whether they will try to stick to the same techniques though. For all we know though they could get an even better director.

I love the film either way i'm going to watch it as long as robert still plays edward he makes it really really good i absoulutely adore yhe books i read twilight in one day, new moon in one day, eclipse in 2 days and breaking dawn in 3 i can't wait till midnight sun comes out apparently stephenie is going to continue to write it she started again when she finished breaking dawn I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!

i think that as the books countine to tell the story and change the visual aspect of the films will need to change and i think bringing in new directors will help as long as they focus on the characters and their emotional ups and downs so i look forward to see the future films and the different directors visions

Catherine did an EXCELLENT job with Twilight! Chris has a big plate and I hope he can stick to the story as we've been given it in the book! I am a huge fan of the series ............ can't wait for the release of Midnight Sun! If you haven't read the unedited, unfinished Midnight Sun, go to Stephanie's website and read it. I will watch Twilight New Moon even if it is going to be directed by a different director... It was said that Harry Potter had different directors for each installment of the movie and each one came out great... But nonetheless, anything can happen... Maybe the new director can produce a really really good groundbreaking sequel to Twilight...

I think that Catherine Hardwicke directed the Twilight movie into her own thing. She cut out way too many things from the book and added some new scenes to it. For example the field trip and more.
A new director will be interesting to see and I'm looking forward to watch. -

Oh My Gosh!!!! I absolutly adore Twilight! It is one of the best films ever and I read the first and second book within a day each :)
As the films go on I think they will get better and better as you see the characters develop. Except for the 4th, it is going to be incredibly difficult to film it ;)

i didn't like hardwicke anyway, especially the way she was going on during the promo of the film. directors are best kept behind the cameras. she was capitalising too much on the hype...

I think Catherine Hardwicke did a terrible job directing Twilight. I've never seen any of her other movies so I can't say i dislike her as a director, but I do not think she did a good job with Twilight.

Robert is not going to be in New Moon that much. In the beginning of the movie after the Birthday party he will leave and he won't be back until toward the end. So those of you that are looking forward to seeing him will be disappointed. Whoever directs it i hope they do not leave out to much and gets it as close to the book as possible. If they wonder off to much Stphanie Meyer will not be to happy abou it, and she has a great say in the matter. Jacob is gonna be something else, I just can't wait to see it.

I'm sorry, I love the twilight saga, but the movie sucked. Most of the shaping parts of the movie were either not included, or were not in the same order. From the trailer of New Moon, I think it will be similar. In the clearing (book) Bella does not see Jake change, she sees a russett wolf like creature walk up beside her.

Much of New Moon is a distraction from the heart/soul of the overall theme...i am glad that Edward's role was brought into more of the film vs. the book...without him, there is no story!! It seems Ms. Stewart might need to go back and re-read the books to regain her grasp on the overall saga. Edward is the real center along with his family and Bella enters into their world, not they into hers. The entire series is not about Bella and Jacob, at all!!

I'm Nita, I'm a 70 year old grandmother and my oldest grandson is Rob Pattinsons age (23). He got me into the Twilight series and now I'm far more obsessed than he is. I pass him all the latest news on the series. I love Meyers story telling abilities and I pray for her to continue the series. After all, we know the Volturi are going to be back after the Cullens. What are they going to do to defend themselves? What is the future for Jacob, the wolves and all the cullens? As long as they continue the books and movies you can certainly count on this old broad to be in line at the movies and book stores. ROLE ON MEYER!!!!
