i wouldnt see a show with her and the kids because i think she is using them why have 6 kids and then 8 when y will end up having to do manyt things and stress yourself to live with 14 kids on your own y have to think about things before y act and kids are hard work i mean come on

I understand that she feels like she had a lonely childhood being an only child, but I think that it was completely irresponsible and over the top of her to have brought FOURTEEN children into the world without being able to afford their care. I'm a 22 year old woman who would love to have a big family someday, but only as large as I can afford without relying on aid from the state, and only a few biological children and then the rest would be adopted.

I think that will be a way to find her an income to provide food to all her 16 kids. I hope some day the producers of extreme makeover from ABC, take this family in consideration.

If she's a good mother, then that's all that matters. In an economy where we're taxed on everything, i don't mind my earned income going towards a family that needs it, rather than the white-collar bureaucrats that always have their hands out to line their deep pockets.

Man will I Watch This. And Ever, If this isn't REALITY stop and think about the current so-called reality shows.
It occurs to me how interesting it might be ,if the doctor and the children and that truly pleasant woman could share some moments about life,growth and parenting. -
I feel she has mental problems. Lives with Mother who is losing her home, not contributing to the support of her previous 6 children. I also think she is look and expecting handouts from large corporations. WHY? NOT THEIR PROBLEM! On the other hand the kids need supervision from child care services.

She's commenting to take care of the children? Do you mean committing? either way, no she's not. Her MOTHER has admitted that she's been the main caregiver for the first 6 kids, nadya's ADMITTED that she had a hard time financially caring for the first 6 kids, She's been using donation money to buy Wii's, videogames, she got her fake nails done up all pretty, and then she went shopping at nordstrom's for makeup. And you think that would be enough, but no.
She knows she's losing her house, and still she continues to shop, while relying on taxpayers to pay her food stamps and medical bills.
Oh and, this wonderfully caring and responsible mother had 6 kids under the age of 8, over 50% of whom are disabled (by her own admission.) She herself is disabled. She lives in a 3 bedroom house with 9 occupants... Which she's not losing.
How did she expect to raise 14 in a 3 bedroom mess?
She still has no job, she still hasn't finished school, she's still on food stamps, she still is considered disabled, and now she's losing her house.
yet she's shopping for videogames, makeup and getting her nails done.
yeah. She's REALLY committed to caring for her kids. If she were, she'd have waited till she had a secure job, money in the bank, till her other kids were older, till she was off welfare, then implated the SAFE 2 embryos at a time that is recommened, then when she was successful, donated the rest to someone looking to have children of their own in need of donated eggs.
or she could have worried about raising the 6 kids she's basically left to her mom to raise, and forgot about collecting kids the way normal people collect stamps.
There's NO WAY I'd ever watch anything to do with this woman. It's exploitive of children who already are in a tough place because of her irresponsibility. -
If she stops getting handouts, then she will be forced to give these kids up for adoption. Then they will be able to grow up in normal loving homes. And we the taxpayers can stop paying their way. This past week alone, she has used your tax money to buy a manicure a pedicure, MAC lipgloss (about 20 each) and a Wii Game System (about 250 dollars)

I am ashamed to admit that I would probably watch at least the first episodes. I think the girl is in need of counseling. She seems out of touch with the reality most of us live with and I suspect it will adversely affect her children.

I don't like reality shows of any kind. As for that poor lady, leave her be. Rather then criticize her, support her for being a loving mother. Not everyone wants children and some that have them shouldn't. I wish her all the best

Her mom has been raising the first 6, she's on welfare for 6 kids, she has 3 disabled kids, none of whom she took into consideration when she went to have more kids, she admitted to having financial trouble caring for the first 6 kids, yet she went and had more kids anyway cause she wanted to. It was all about her needs and wants without consideration for her other kids.
she lives in a house with 3 rooms occupied by 9 people which she is in the process of losing, but had she not, she was going to bring 8 more in this small 3 bedroom house like that's ok. She doesn't have a job... so she's begging for handouts. What is she doing with them?
She is shopping for makeup at nordstrom's, buying video games her kids are too young to play anyway, having babies like normal people collect stamps, getting her nails done...
and now instead of paying her hospital bills, she's looking at million dollar homes. If she has a million bucks, she should be paying her bills and getting off of welfare, buying a house within her means and using the rest of her money on the kids, not blowing it on a million dollar house she won't be able to afford once people lose interest.
She is NOT a good mother, she's a selfish ho.

This women was on state welfare when she had her other kids prior to the new 8. She should of not been able to have these babies.....

I think she Is not going to make a good mother according to her mother. Has the state looked into if she can take care of all those kids? And a movie is a bit too much

To me the IRESPONSIBILITY is shared with her doctors and Care Center. They should have NEVER LET a womean with absolutely NO FINANCIAL RESOURCES to get pregnant again!

Not only in this woman crazy, she is selfish as well. I do not give her any sympathy for having so many children. It was her choice. Now she needs to figure out how the heck to support them. She's only doing this to get attention from the media and that's absolutely what she got. I just hope she isn't relying of sponsorships to get herself out of financially supporting her kids. I am one phone call away from calling CPS to take those children away from her. Give those kids to RESPONSIBLE PARENTS who can offer love, care and a good childhood. How can a Single Mom take care of so many children. Is she the Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe or what. Don't get me wrong, I don't knock Single Moms down. I was one with one child and that was a challenge!

She is on welfare for her first 6 kids, she's got over $800,000 owed to the hospital, 3 of her kids have disabilities, she has a disability, her mom is 10 months behind on the morgage and so they may be losing their house...
yet she is seen shopping for Wii's and videogames, getting her nails done, shopping at Nordstroms... and what's the latest?
She was just seen getting walkthroughs of MILLION DOLLAR HOMES!
CNN confirmed she's SHOPPING FOR A MILLION DOLLAR HOME!!
She's still receiving our taxpayer supported foodstamps, she still owes the hospital probably a million after all is said and done
AND SHE'S SHOPPING FOR MILLION DOLLAR HOMES
If she has money for nails, nordstroms, videogames, plastic surgeries and million dollar homes...
why the hell are we still paying for her welfare!?!?! -
I don't agree with what she did but that is beside the point now. The babies are there and I would love to see how she manages as she had said she will provide. Everybody knows she can't do so on her own so I would like to see how things go. I feel sorry for the babies, they are born and apparently healthy so they need help regardless. The whole situation is very sad.

We all have a God-shaped void in our lives. Some fill it with success, others with money, drugs, or fame. She is trying to fill her void in life by having babies. The only real way to fill this void is by accepting Jesus Christ as your Saviour.

She claims to be disabled because of back problems, yet she isn't crippled from the weight of carrying 8 babies. (they say she gained almost 300 pounds.)
if you can carry 8 babies with a bad back, you can get off your A$$ and get a desk job. -
Each to their own, but if you can't look after your children properly, then at least seek help of others, not just your mom. It's a little sad for the children, but hey, we don't live in her shoes, how can we really judge her. Good luck to all of them :)

i think what she's doing is horrible . she shouldn't have any more kids . What is she doing to them ? how will they live in the future ? Did she bring them to this world to suffer?? I can't feel sorry for her . i feel sorry for the kids .

Call it E.D.tv (acronym = "Essentially Dumb") ~ pay her to get spayed & to have cameras in her home 24/7 ~ if she proves to be an unfit mom, place the kids in healthy homes & stop the checks. -

Then to list things like swings or whatever, she said she will not turn away. How can she say she didn't want her kids to be lonely like she was when she was growing up. Sure she said they were her eggs and she wanted them and that ecerythign worked out and it was a risk she was willing to take. I don't think that they should praise this woman they already have a 15 year old wanting to do this . I mean I think they should take the Dr.licence away for doing this because he is endangering lives for abuse for the children

This woman has an emotional problem and has no reasoning capabilities. Her little children have been born into a GREAT BIG mess because of her bad choices. She hasn't a clue as to what is in store for her and the children. If she receives the help from whomever as she is expecting what is to keep anyone else from doing the same thing and expect donated help of all kinds? The way she talks over any of her interviewers shows clearly that she doesn't realize the ramifications of the situation she has created. She is so busy thinking about what she is going to say and saying it that she doesn't hear what is being said to her. Her communication skills are very poor. Sure, she talks a lot but does she really say anything meaningful? I don't think so! She responds to questions with comments that have nothing to do with what was asked. These babies need to be either adopted or in foster care, preferably adopted.

She is abusing her rights to bare children by having them knowing she can't provide fully for them. How ashamed she should be for being so selfish. She needs to be mentally evaluated. I have a set of triplets and knew long ago they were as much as we could afford comfortably. What's done is done, those kids will have a hard life and she will live on welfare (resources) forever.

This FREELOADER deserves everything that she's getting. How sad in this day in age, that this FREELOADER has to sell her large litter, just to make a BUCK and her 15 minutes of FAME. People say that she is using her kids and shes not married or with the father of the kids,but yet Jon and Kate are married they have a show with 8kids and they are having problems but with all the problems that they have the show must go on for the money. Kate wants the money! If I were having problems I would stop the show and take care of my family issuses first!! So why judge OctoMom if Kate is just as bad. But people dont see that because they see Kate is still married, but above all Kate is money hungry and the fame has gotten way over her head she needs to take care of her kids not leave them with the sitter or aunt Jodie. We know dad is home with them he is off fooling around. Kate is using her kids for money people!!!

It is sad that the only way this woman can get on tv is to have a boat-load of children out of wedlock & hope that America pays her some attention so that she can actually provide for them. I pray for these kids.
