Hmmm. Why pick HP over Twilight? Cause it's a better story. I wouldn't pick Twilight because of Pattinson; the actor doesn't make the story. I read all of both series, and HP is much better. I'm hoping they'll get the physics right in New Moon; it would be much more enjoyable then.

If u only read the 1st five chapters u wnt ever know if it's good or nt....at first i only read teh 1st 4 chapters and thought it was borin bt my friends talked me into reading 2 chapter 14 and when i gt 2 chapter 14 i culdnt stop readin and nw i love it even more than they do.so just read 2 at leat chapter 14 ...im sure ull love it.everybody elee does

I think you've got your facts wrong. A good percentage of HP fans are actually avid readers of different genres. Among the multitude of Twilight fans that I've met, I've only come across a select few who were even interested in reading other things.
At least us, HP fans, aren't deluded enough to think that HP is the only piece of good literature out there. The only reason we didn't read Twilight was because it's an unbelievably published bunch of fanfiction crap.

Harry Potter rules over all Young Adult literature.
Twitards always say that Twilight is the best book they've ever read. I just feel sorry for them. There is a cornucopia of other great literature out there. They are too blinded by the supposed 'hotness' of a fictional being that they are wasting their time with rereading the Twilight series (it's not a saga, okay?).
At least real HP fans know enough and have enough brain power to actually be enticed to read other books. Just because we are HP fans, doesn't mean that's all we read.
So, Twilight may win this poll, but please, let's not kid ourselves. A bunch of my co-teens voted here. Let's just see the box office numbers. HP always tops the summer.

the reason they bumbed h.p. back was because the dude who plays harry in the movies was in this play and he was nude or whatever so they pushed it back so parents wouldn't connect the play to the movie. and all these people that say they couldnt stand twilight were the people saying they couldnt sit through the movies. well if you cant sit though the movies try picking up the book. because the director didnt do justice to the twilight series. -

I loved the first Twilight so much because of the love story with Robert and Kristen; I actually found myself praying that these two would really get together as a couple and always remain happy together; they appear to have a great deal in common with one another according to reports about their own private tastes in the opposite sex. As far as the news goes, I do believe rob does feel real love for Kristen and is so torn about it that he is just doing anything to get his mind off her when he isn't with her; It is true that Kristen fell into love on a set with her present Angarano bf, so that is actually a positive in favor of Rob- maybe she will fall in love with Rob on set if she hasn't already - sure looks like they both have won each other's hearts as well as millions of other peoples. however I also think these people who are talking about Rob's hygeine and his affairs out with other women are cheap shots taken, and I wish what goes around would get back around to those people doing all of that mouth flapping VERY RAPIDLY.
Rob and Kristen are both great people, very good young up and coming actors and when people see good people or good things happening, some people are just plain EVIL and would do anything to shed a bad light on the couple with the good light; I wouldn't even doubt if the hygeine crap got planted by Kristen's bf Michael Angarano because he cannot stand what he see's in the chemistry of Stewart/Patz together. I wouldn't even doubt that he has Patz followed so that he can make sure to get whatever bad press on Patz he can-- anything to get Kristen turned back toward M. A.(bf)himself;
I must admit that I was upset when I first heard that Patz wasn't going to be in New Moon much, and extremely upset on rumors of them trying to replace him; I didn't have hopes of going to see the movie at all - but then more recently I heard that we will be seeing more of Patz than originally planned by how they would have him actually speaking to Kristen through her mindset during the times he was gone - even though we all know too well that he was unable to read her mind. At least I am very excited for the end of the movie's subject, but I do hope that they will drag that out a bit longer for the sake of us who are so in love with the Stewart/Patz love story so that we will not have to wait so long until we get to enjoy that part in Eclipse. I do hope that the music will not change much, I have enjoyed the music from the first movie more than I can say, and I never heard any of it prior to the movie. I am so excited for New MOON...I can hardly wait!! and believe it or not, I usually always wait to see movies when I can rent them myself, I never pay money to go see the usual movie, but Twilight has changed all of that for me!! -
What is wrong with you people? Meyer wishes she could write half as well as Rowling. If anyone in their right mind was to look at the majority of the comments below they would know that the only reason most these people like Twilight better is because they think everyone is hot. The fandom is dominated by hormonal preteens. HARRY POTTER!

Come on. HP is much better than Twilight. All the comments here are from silly little teenage girls which their only reason for ABSOLUTLY LOVING Twillight is that Edward Cullen is hot. I'll admitt it, I've read Twilight. And I like the series. But there is just no comparision. Just because HP doesn't leave you completely infatuated with the main character, that doesn't mean that Twilight is the better book. Or worse... Stephenie Meyer the better writter. Please! It's insane to compare JK Rolling to SM. She's OK, but her writing style and her descriptions don't even come close to JK's writing. Twilight is a good book, but, take it from an expirienced reader... HP KICKS ASS! :P

um no. you are absolutely wrong! the twilight saga is wayyy better than harry potter! for one the harry potter books are too long and they dont get to the point fast enough! i've read the first harry potter book and i really didnt like it! as for twilight im reading the books for the third time! stephenie meyer is a way better writer! and as for the movies, yes i like harry potter but twilight is sooo much better! and no, i dont just like twilight because edward cullen is hot. dont get me wrong, i do think hes hot, but thats not the only reason why i like it. i have always loves vampires, and stephenie wrote twilight in a very unique way, because its so much different than other vampire storys, or romance for that matter! and people can really relate to twilight, lets face it, who can relate to harry potter? no one! why? because harry potter is a story about a boy who is a wizard and goes to a magic school to learn about wizardry. twilight is a story about a normal teenage girl falling in love for the first time! and i think EVERYONE can relate to that story! so im sorry, but twilight is clearly better! and just look at the pole! twilight - 76%. harry potter - 24%! so thats just another way to prove that twilight is very, clearly better! I love the Harry Potter BOOKS. Twilight doesn't even begin to compare. However, in the movies, Twilight beats Potter. I love the 3 leads in Potter especially Rupert Grint but the screenwriting and story development are such crap compared to the awesome books that I cringe everytime I watch how badly they end up. With Twilight, the books aren't as excellent so it's easier for the movies to do better. Rob Pattinson is extremely easy on the eyes so that helps a lot. Dan Radcliffe is a little unattractive (but still cute) so it doesn't add anything to the movies.

lol Harry Potter defs. Twilight should be put in the comedy section. The Twilight movies/books are just a joke. The only reason 13 year old girls like the series is because its full of PG-13 smutt fanfiction and hot guys. If you even read the book, the plot....wait...what plot? Oh right, there is no plot! Oh and the characters? Please....the characters don't even have a single flaw. For example..Edward Cullen...oh wait! Of coure Edward Cullen is a vampire! That must be a flaw! Oh but wait! That flaws covered up by him being a bloody vegetarian vampire. Hmm...I guess Bella Swan is a flawed character...you know..being so whiney and melodramatic ALL the time.

yeah ok, twilight's good and phwoar robpattinson. but harry potter is just this thrilling land of magic and lets face it, i think EVERYONE wants to go to hogwarts and shop in diagon alley! twilight's good but Harry Potter beats it in every single matter. goooo Joanne Kathleen Rowling!!!!! Stephenie Meyer, sorry, but you can never beat J.K. Rowling.... wooo harry potter!!

twilight is really quite good but... if you compare twilight saga to the harry potter series theres not comparison!!! those of you who love twilight saga and films mostly love it coz of Rpatz, but he got his career in harry potter. bottom line, HARRY POTTER RULES. I like twilight, but harry potters too good, so if compared twilight saga sucks. read the books and watch the movies folks!!! bad luck s. meyer. take a leaf outta Joe's book... geddittt....

OMG!!! Who would choose twilight over Harry potter 1. harry potter has some !HOT! Cast members like Tom Felton and Danny Himself and Twilight has robert pattinson who origionaly was in harry potter and no-body took any notice of him then so over all HARRY POTTER RULES!!!!!!!
