MY point of view is that they should try to work things out. If not for them self but for the kids. I know it is hard on them been there.Becausxe of my parents and so have my children when my first husband parted ways. It was hardest on the youngest. i really love jon & kate plus 8. i cried when they announced that thier going to be seperated and they have filed a divorce. i know it would totally hard for the kids to take in reality when how they saw thier parents being together as they grow up and how they saw each other's weaknesses and strengths. i just really hope and wish that they could be again and start new even though their will be alot of allegations between them. i hope thebrdt and i hope they would gop back together.

I feel really bad for the kids. No kid wants to have themselves surrounded by camera at all times. Let kids be kids. Their kids will never be normal thanks to them. I loved the show but I knew something like this was going to happen. My best wishes go out to their kids.

My opinion is that divorce should not be promoted or sensationalized on TV, especially when 8 kids are affected. Yes, divorce does happen in American and is the biggest reason for trobled lives and hurt children who eventulally grow up into hurting adults. TLC makes divorce out to be an acceptable everyday occurance. This is a problem in American that we need to address in fixing not promoting. Jon sends message that when things get good (money pouring in and girls chasing after you for your fame and money), divorce and live the good life. Funny 99% of people are meet that are divorced are unhappy and lonely. Jon may think her has it all as a reult of the fame and money his kids broght him, but one day he will awake to reality and find no one really loves him for him. By thena, his kids will understand and see exactly what he chose over them. He will eventually reap what he is sowing!

When this whole thing started, I sided with Jon because I felt Kate was so annoying, & nagged him all the time. But now, Jon is acting like a jerk. He's basically making Kate take care of EIGHT kids all by herself. He moved two hours away, & barely even sees the kids. It's like he doesn't even care about them. Everyone keeps potraying Kate as the bad guy, & in all honesty, it's the other way around.

I will always watch this show. I have always loved kate and still do. She and the children are the ones who were wronged. She has had to carry jon since the babies were born. He is so weak, I think he was spoiled from a child on... anyway, He is only thinking and doing for himself, when the children are grown he will wonder why they don't care for him.

Kate has always hated the dogs. Jon loves them. It's cruel to keep the dogs locked in their kennels because Kate does not want to be bothered with them. Jon is taking them back to the breeder where they can run and play freely. He is not doing this to hurt the kids. Kate's the one who has caused this situation . They're beautiful dogs and can easily be adopted out to a family that is willing to care for them properly.

I think people are being too hard on John. I watched the show twice and I couldn't stand to see the way he was belittled. That was embarassing to me. How can anyone in a grocery/department store act that way, except bring attention to themself.

Oh wow, I'm going to try and keep it "publishable"- here goes.
Kate was/is a tryrant, a despotic , shrill, verbally abusive at times
taaskmaster. This Jon character is a monkeys' posterior, who spent most of the time hhmm-ing and hwww-ing in between his
occasional outrburst & mutterings. He seemed like a "nice" guy- though a major "punk" to Kates' "bully". But hey, people are married for many, many different and mostly never-known reasons.
When first they split- I said " Right on John- that broad needs a wake-up call". As the days went by; and we're talking- a few days;
Jon has shown himself to be a MAJOR-Punk, an INSIPID-Punk and
just a common, everyday "MEDIA-PRO". His "moral" outrage is
hollow, empty and the silly fool is not smart enough to be embarrassed. I could almost be embarrassed for him if I did not
see him this evening doing his "woman scorned" routine on "the Insider"- Please, drama-jon, step aside and Jon-the MAN/father
STEP UP and think about how best you're children will and can be provided for. That 50k job you once had CLEARLY was not doin' it
or Kate would not have had to shop your children around to the various networks in order to get a show/earn sufficient $$. -
Kate is a special lady. Raising 8 well behaved adorable children is not an easy life. Jon and Kate had it rough in the beginning, but thanks to their show on TLC are reaping the benifits. They deserve it. People change, give them a break. Their personal problems should not be any one's business. Hope the show continues, love to see the kids as they grow up. Kate, you have alot of class. Stay strong, I believe you can do it.

Kate is unbalanced, she has to control everything and everyone around her. Neither Jon or Kate should be talking about their personal problems so openly. Their lawyers should put a stop to this. Only the welfare of the children should be the main concern while they battle this out. If Kate expects the public to believe she only has one liquid bank account and cannot pay the bills she has on hand SHE is truly not a person to be trusted! Together they have made millions from the show. Keep the comedy act for the Jay Leno show and the children safe and secure away from the public. Jon has experieced freedom from Kate's putdowns and control and has disgraced himself by becoming a playboy. They are both asking the public and their children to choose sides in this tradgey. WHY??????? Whoever wins in this battle...the children loose I will not continue to watch the show if it does return because it has proven to be a really bad example of family life

It was sad to see the Marriage dissolve. I saw problems were coming, because Kate treated Jon so disrespectfully. Even her older girls commented on how she talked to Jon. The care of the 8 children, and the TV crew in the home was stressful. It was too bad that Jon and Kate did not get marriage counseling. Sorry Kate you were too complaining and too controling, especially over Jon.

Do you know how much it would cost for baby sitter/s or nannies for 8 children? I paid $8 to $10 an hour for 2 children. Are people even using their brains here?? Can you imagine the cost for 8 children just for 8 hours!

I see these two beautiful people who have children who rely on them so greatly, with such love. I see their break down as a devastation that the TV world is insensitive to. I feel they should continue to earn a living without extreme turbulation. She does deserve alimony, but he does deserve some support for-- her on the TV time (no hidin it) anger attacks/pushiness, etc, towards him. I hope they get an end to the show time, to pursue the real feelings, relax, enjoy, party, play, eat, blah, blah...they are big time pressured. EYEBALLED. Enyoy! I really do hope the show continues with Kate and the kids. I think a lot of woman can relate to her and her struggles. It helps to see how she deals with the stress in her life and at the same time raising all eight kids now as a single mother! TLC keep Kate plus 8! Or begin a show all about her as a single mom!

Honestly I think the best thing would be for the children to be removed from the "business". I will say though that i have gone from loathing Kate to admiring her. I saw it quoted somewhere that she had to be on him all the time because he was stupid and i tend to agree. Let him go hangout with his slimeball friends, give Kate sole custody and the ability to raise her children away from his slimeball antics.

my husband & I are both grandparents and loved watching the show - we applaud Kate for being "a mom first" and are sad to see jon's behaving badly - certainly not a good example for his children!

TLC should let Jon out of the contract, so he can work without involving the children. Kate can get her, own show " Kate and Divorce " with TLC. GEt the children out of the picture. Kate has enough money to take the children out to places, does kids only go out or do activities when TLC is filming.

It's tough in their part to even digest their parents' mishaps...I was and have been in a broken family too. Hi I have to say is that what I find interesting, is how many man and women are willing and ready to get involved with someone who is still married, even though we know that Mr. Gosselin was not being treated well by his wife, he should have first divorced or had a legal separation, and then looked for someone else, and all those women who are so ready to be with him is shameful specially because of his children, and what type of women doest that. I think that they are opportunists, and have no moral values, as well as he. Yeah, we all know he got married young but so did his wife, and she did not go outhere and have different flings in front of the whole world. Anyways, I have to say that this world has surely changed.
