  • HER REVEALING THE TRUTH SHOULD ONLY HELP HER RECOVERY.

  • I don't think she would open this can of worms if she were not emotionally prepared to take the heat. I think she has come a long way and needs this closure to completely clean her mind, body and soul.

  • As a drug and alcohol counselor and a recovering addict I think it is in very very poor taste to even be polling people on the issue of someone's relapse. What’s next? A poll on which celebrity people think will over dose and die next? This is appalling

  • I think she is growing and will stay sober. She is confronting her demons, and this is on the path to healing. And I don't think her family's lack of support will stop her.

  • I think that that incest could have been the reason why she initially started using drugs, dispite her father introducing it to her. I think that a big burden has been lifted off ofher shoulders now that she has revealed to the world what her larger than life father has done to her. This itself could be a big contributor in keeping her off of drugs.

  • I really feel for her. I think coming out with her story will have a healing effect & help others in the process to know that they are not alone. This took so much courage to do what she did knowing what it would do to her family.

  • I beleive Mckenzie and admire her strength. This has helped me to understand her past. I hope she now has peace and a sence of freedom in releasing this nightmare. Did it ever accur to her stepmother and little sister when she came to them years ago she was reaching out for help. Why else would she have come to them ?

  • The fact that she is finally revealing a very deep and personal issue will help her to stay on the path towards sobriety. I'm very happy that she was able to come to terms to release this secret and even though this scar will remain with her for life, she will feel loads lighter and can now learn to laugh and cry with freedom.

  • I think most people can't handle the truth and it is unfortunate to turn your back on someone who reaches out for reassurance and/or help by calling them "delusional" or "crazy". The truth will eventually come out...it is how you handle it will be the test. Remember when domestic violence was a dirty secret? It is better to know the truth...no matter if your precious family looks bad.

  • As a recovering addict myself, it took me telling someone about what happend to me when I was a child for me to be able to let go of the pain, let go and move past it. I suffered much of the same things Mackenzie did and until I got honest with myself and shared it with others, I was unable to break the addiction. Since I went to group therapy and shared what I went through, I have been sober. Five years now....

  • I think that MacKenzie has gone through way too much in her life with drugs at such a young age, she was only 11 years old when she started, and spent too many year high that she wouldn't go back to that life as she has missed way too many years already.

  • I'm glad some of the adults in MacKenzie's life came forward to confirm what she said. The ex-wives are apparently unable to accept that a man they loved to go so low. Michele Philllips is acting like a woman scorned. Shame on her for slamming Mac like she's completely mental. They need to learn to handle the truth. It's clear from the show that Mac has worked very hard to get back to ground zero. You go, MacKenzie!

  • I think that since she is strong enough to inform the world of the horrifying life that she has had for all those years that she will also be strong enough to stay straight.

  • OMG> I finished her book last night. I feel so sorry for her.. Drugs have control of her brain which takes 2-3 years to conquer. If she uses, just once, it turns on the addiction again. Pain meds are the worst to use no matter what! They light up the lymph system.

  • Cont- John Phillips is at total fault for raising his daughter like his person sex slave. Drug Mack up, sleep w/her. She couldn't stop as long as she was high. Many of her relatives knew this tragedy, and let it happen. John fed her drugs. Please Mack, don't ever use again. May God help you out here and keep you safe.
