I have been through a divorce and it's worse than death. My heart goes out to Kate and I really hope Jon will come around and they can somehow work it out for everyones sake.

Kate is disgusting, she is far worse than Jon. She has no idea what it's really, truly like to be a single working mother. I wish I had the money for nannies, manicures, tans, trips, etc. She needs to wake up to what life is really like, let Jon get on with his life, and she needs to get on with hers. She needs to get her kids off TV. Did you see the papparazzi at the school bus stop this morning, on the twins' birthday? What does she think that is doing to these little ones? I used to think she was a good mother, even though she was a controllilng, demanding witch. Now, I think she is self-absorbed and cares very little for her kids.

Everyone must see through Kate's fake tears. She's always saying the right things to make herself look like the victim. She's a diva and only cares about herself. She doesn't want TLC to end because it would mean that she'll have to get a REAL job to support those kids.

I work with families in this situation all of the time. Jon made his own mistakes, when he started to lose the claws came out. Get real, he didn't give a rats behind when he and his love interests were all over the news. He didn't care that his children would see that in the media, or on facebook, or anywhere else. Now he's so concerned about everyone's mental state and the effect of what Kate is doing will have an effect on the kids. Give me a break!

I'm sure she's upset about the money but life goes on and she did the Leno thing which was great and nothing to do with the divorce. Just funny. So I certainly wouldn't say that she is melting down because of that.
I wouldn't say she is manipulating the media either just because she is smart enough to know how to behave in public - that's not a negative thing. Most of what we've seen from her in the media regarding the divorce has been her reacting to something Jon brought attention too. The public would crucify her if she didn't respond to his mud-slinging (and they crucify her anyway but at least she gets some of her side out there.) -

Kate has been manipulating the press from the beginning. She is good at turning on the tears and getting peoples pity to get them on her side. She is afraid of losing her spa, manicure,etc. ticket. Those kids are her lifeline to everything she wants. She enjoys the spotlight all the press has given her and the money that goes along with it.

I think they both need to be taught to act like adults. The people they are hurting are the kids. The judge needs to give each kid a guardian set by the court. No one is asking the kids what is really going on and or finding out if the kids are being treated OK. Divorce is hard on anyone, and with that many kids and everything the media is doing, how do we know the kids are not in some kind of mental or physical danger?

Kate appears self-absorbed with money and a Diva image as her goals, especially sice all of her plastic surgery. I saw no actual "tears" on the Today Show, only acting as if she were crying. Did anyone notice her soft, gentle voice, monotone and appearance for the camera? Maybe she should have tried to use the "subdued" attitude to keep her husband. I don't agree with Jon's manner of handling the divorce, BUT, for Heaven's sake, we all had to watch her multilate him on TV, speak to him as if he is an idiot, made faces at him (real mature) and mocked him with those childish grunts, etc. whenever he would speak. He had to stand up to her at some point. We may not agree with his manner of doing so, but, please.....did we not see any of this coming? Her persona changes at each interview to reach her "current" goal which appears to be public support and sympathy and to further castrate Jon. Is Kate not being "enabled" to achieve her selfish goals? more and more money by more publicity?!? Now she tries to use "stress on the children" to keep Jon from seeing the twins on their birthday. Weren't they as poor as Church mice when she gave birth to the last 6 kids, Church charity ran to her rescue to "enable" HER decisions then. Did she not make demands even THEN and had to have things "her way", as always.

So, since being on tv is easier and more profitable then being a nurse, she is choosing to milk this divorce any way she can. Kate has yet to take care of her own children. Watch the old clips closely. It was always Jon doing all the work, while she shouted out orders. When it wasn't Jon, it was all the helpers that eventually quit because of Kate. Now, it's chef's and nanny's, not Kate. She's too busy sleeping and going to the spa.

Do I condone his behavior of late....no. However I can understand it. These were two people who got together when they were very young and started a family too soon (I think). Kate is a born manipulater!! Think about it--there is a reason her parents aren't in her or her children's lives. It's because they didn't agree with them doing the show. If you go back and look at the shows, Kate was usually sitting back having everyone do things for her. She made herself look extremely busy, but most of the time she was barking out orders. My gosh, on a recent show, she couldn't even take one of her older daughters to the doctor to get her foot checked that had been injured for 2 weeks. She had the babysitter take the child to the doctor while she stayed home to play games with the other kids. Once again, someone to do her "dirty work". Upon learning the child needed x-rays, it was then she was able to take her to the hospital late at night for the x-rays. That way, she made herself look like the the wonderful, caring mother that she is not. Kate cares about 2 things--herself and money. Luckily it was just a deep bruise on the childs foot, and nothing serious.

I liked the old episode when she went to buy beds for the "6" (like a concentration camp number) and she let the kids run all over the store while Jon was responsible running around after them. She sat on her butt with brochures. It seemed like hours. Meanwhile her poor son was constipated and crying in pain. Her response was "JON". Then to Kate's relief Collin went in his diaper and was now crying his butt hurt and of course Jon was to take him to the van to change his diaper. The children will be stronger and will be able to look at things in their life with an open mind, sometimes the pain of divorce can make us more intuitive to helping one another, which is sometimes lacking in society. Knowing that even though their mother and father are no longer in love, they do love their children. Give them space and they will be able to sort this all out for what is best for Those Beautiful Gosselin Children. After being in a prison of a marriage for 10 years not being allowed to make any decisions, just being ordered around, no wonder Jon hasn't had good decision making skills & judgment. But he's apologized and I believe is learning from his mistakes. I've always seen him as the genuine one. I see the fact that he didn't yell back at her all those years as maturity...anyone can yell back, it takes real restraint to hold your tonge. Anyway, We're all on Team Jon here and while we don't wish Kate any harm, we do hope she will deal with the hurt & anger she must be feeling right now. Jon is just fighting back for the first time in 10 years and I think he'll cool it soon as soon as Kate calms down and realizes he's not going to take her crap anymore.

I think it's completely sexist to expect that Kate should be the one at home taking care of the kids when there are two parents involved who both should be taking turns caring for the children. The ONLY thing that TRULY matters here are the kids. I don't care who's right or wrong and who can justify their position the best, your kids will suffer far more than your pride. Take the high road, edify the other parent, don't berate, stop the madness, lose the pride, and tell your kids you love them. I think Kate is doing everything just fine. Her divorce is cleaner than 90% of other celebrities. She can't be crying all of the time, and for the media to say she is unstable, is ridiculous. Just as ridiculous as the media saying child services needs to be involved. Who are they, I am sure they have more skeletons in their own closet and need to mind their own business. Those children have all of their basic needs met. Children are dying all over the world and the press wants the child's services to go into the Gosselin Home? Before the kids, he was content to let her worry, fret, and yes, control, everything while he just was responsible for himself. When the kids came, he wasn't the only focus of her caretaking anymore and he had to take responsibility for things and be dependable. Sure, she obviously controls things, but at least she gives a crap about things. He may have a great heart, I don't know, but he is vastly immature and was painfully obviously not ready for marriage at 22, let alone fatherhood. They need to shut-off the cames, unplug from the addiction to media attention which they have now begun to mistake for affection, and grab some kind of order for the children out of the chaos that is surrounding those innocent young children. John's an idiot! Kate never said she had "no" money. She said he spent their LIQUID cash. You don't keep all your money in the bank readily available. You invest it and put it in accounts where it can make more money. $200,000 should have been plenty to live on unless someone spends it recklessly!!! (JON!!)
