women and men have done this from the start of time just because he is a famous man it does not mean he is not a man. the one thing that has never been addressed is the president being a us citizen and he is our first bi racial pres not just black
-
That is all good and well but this woman was a little girl when she was taken from her family that is a whole lot different then this being "around for years" as you put it. And another thing if this article was about Obama it might have made more sense. This is about a woman that had her childhood and womanhood taken away from her and not by choice! IDIOT

Not at all was she pressured, she isnt a celebrity she doesnt need to be a huge part of the media and her story could have passed with in a month if she didnt say anything. I think she is honestly just wanting to show people shes here and this is who she is.
-
It might actually be LIBERATING for Jaycee to go public, to show the world sometimes unthinkable horrors are taking place right next door. Hope Jaycee got the cash - rather than some mindless PAP.

i agree -
I believe thet weither she was or was not, I believe it had to be done and get the word out and inform about this type of kidnapping. Thank god she is safe and reunited with her family that is most important.....love you NIECY
-
No there wasn't pressure, your station is just upset you didn't get the breaking story and people did
-
I think she was pressured by the press. In america everything is world news.
-
The ladies of the View said se was paid by people magazine for the pics. I'm sure they can use the money
-
Jaycee needs to only worry about herself, her children and her family. Everyone needs to seriously back off, give her time and respect - nobody should pressure her and she should never feel pressured to share her horrific story. However, maybe she feels that by coming forward and sharing some of her story that she is making a healthy first step. We can only wish her and her girls the best!
-
It's not that big of a story and she's not a celebrity. She's not doing a reality show. The man that kidnapped her 18 years ago is a sicko and that is the story, he fathered 2 children by her.
-
She is more mature and has gone through more than most 29r olds. She is also getting counseling, IF there was any concern regarding going public it would have been addressed or avoided.
-
And your comment is relevant to this story because???
-
Sorry - comment I just made about relevancy was meant to be addressed to the first poster, not the one immediately above.
-
Seriously, I live in Tahoe, I have survived molestation, and I believe that the media is just pissed because YOU have no control over this. NO ONE has the right to say, when its okay, or appropriate for a victim of that kind of violence to go public,
-
She is 29 years old. I think she is old enough to make her own decision about this.

I think that they shouldn't have put Jaycee on the front of a magazine so quickly. She needs time to let everything calm down, first of all. How will the kids handle the fake and true family members? Somebody put her up to it.

I think the family should have had more time.. Where is the stepdad in this picture ???
-
All I can say is,"Oh, poor Jaycee! Then get furious because the press is pushing it AGAIN. This is the average top story;terrible.
-
Just leave her alone. And, let her, her family, her therapy/support team figure it out. I was glad she came pubic. Let it unfold on its own. What a silly story you are making up : was she pressured to go public. Is that the story? No.
-
You know this is a very sensitive time in her life and some
%#@%^@^#@) has taken away 18 years of her life!! She needs to be left alone to takes the steps to recover and let her children get accoustomed to the NEW life they have as well!!
I just think that some things need to be left alone and not so public. We have no time for ourselves and we DON'T have Papparatzi stalking us, in some ways this may help her- but it certainly could take away any chance of "sliding" back into civilization at her own pace! SHE NEEDS SPACE!!! Gosh, I can not imagine what she has had to deal with the last 18 years! We need to let her re-adjust! -
Way too soon. After having 2 kids by that monster HOW CAN
she be ready for interviews????? -
Some of you people in the "Media" truly need to get a different hobby! These people have gone through ENOUGH! As If This Woman needs to see YOU all scrutinizing the very first CHOICE this Woman has probably EVER been able to make? Have YOU people thought of that? I Doubt it!
-
Jaycee and her daughters went through hell for 18yrs!! I think that Jaycee and her girls will need alot of time or maybe years to heal!!! God bless you and your family and give you strength to live your future!! You're in my prayers!!!
-
It's hard to say for sure, but once this story hit the news, most people were very curious about the situation. I am so glad Jaycee is OK and only wish her the best. God Bless you and your children. C

Everyone wants the story. I think she should wait at least 2 yrs before telling her story. When she was 1st released, she was reclusive. Right now she's probably reaping the rewards of freedom and I feel that she's vulnerable now and may regret what she says now.

I AGREE WITH SECOND COMMENT and Fifth. In other news, I hope Roman Polanski goes to jail, and the law should not for a second hear what tinsel-minded, delirious views arrogant and snobby Scorsece or any Hollywood fool has to say. Chris Rock is on target. Fox news, too. Any one who keeps their mouth silent likely wants Polanski in prison, and I hope more actors and such come out and speak against the child rapist.
