  • The stress of keeping this publicity stunt 'secret' is now making the child physically ill; the parents should be punished and made to pay the costs of the search not to mention required psychological counseling.

  • Little Falcon got sick on the Today this morning, BARFS On Live Television! Balloon Boy Confesses: "It Was For The Show" TMZ has learned the Larimer County Sheriff's Dept. has called an internal meeting at 8 AM local time to determine what they're going to do in this case.

  • Falcon Heene and his family were on Larry King Live -- where he suggested his family set up the entire "boy trapped in a flying balloon" story, saying "You guys said that we did this for the show."

  • The sheriff said he will be asking more questions. The father has been on Wife Swap twice and also has his kids in a rap video also 20 plus other videos on youtube. The kids curse in the rap video and say they are not Pussified. WOW!

  • Richard Heene and his family made the rounds on all three television networks on Friday, and the boy at the center of the saga got sick twice when he and his father were asked during separate interviews what he meant when he said that "we did this for a show."
During a live interview on NBC's "Today" that aired simultaneously, Falcon threw up into a container when his father was answering the same question.

  • My neighbor is friends with the family. Child Protective Services has been called to the home 3 times in the past year. It is chaos in that house and everyone around here knows it. Richard is one strange guy and is VERY controlling with his wife whom he met on the internet in the Philippines. But lets the kids run wild!

  • The Sheriff's office are going to re-interview the family after media interviews. So sad if he had his kid to this. It borders on child abuse! How did he get in the attic. It is just a space above the roof inside the garage. You have to have a ladder to get up there? Many questions to be answered not that the police are taking another look at the case.

  • I am hoping it wasnt a hoax but if it was I hope those parents pay the police, fireman, rescue and the cost of shutting down an airport for their 2 hrs of fame. Since they enjoy fame that much they should also make an public apology to the media and the world.

    anonymous anonymous 10/16/09 Reply

  • They shut down the airport. Police could have been responding to 911 calls etc. It cost around $2,000,000 (Million dollars!). The family better set up a payment plan! And putting the kid all over TV while he was throwing up live on TV. Sad, and shame on his parents.

The Heenes– who appeared on ABC’s Wife Swap last March — were featured on Larry King Live, with CNN’s guest host Wolf Blitzer, a few minutes ago. When asked why he didnt come out of hiding when he heard his parents calling his name, young Falcon replied, “You guys said we did this for the show.

  • The Heene family are media hounds. Like so many others, they have discovered how to get themselves instant fame on all the daily media shows. Already it's been Today, Larry King, CNN. They have cost their City/county thousands of dollars with this Hoax but more importantly they have made their 6 year old son sick with stress. Sheriff Dept. stop being fools, get out there and protect this boy from these monstrous parents.

The inventor/father wanted his helium filled contraption videoed and followed by News channels and retrieved for him.

  • WHY do people immediately talk about taking kids away? Some boundaries need to be set for these parents. The media isn't helping by giving them their 15 minutes time and time and and again and again....... People are all too quick to talk about children being taken away from their parents. do you have any idea where they end up? It's certainly not better. The foster care system kills kids. These parents need some skills. These kids need some boundaries. They neeed a behavior specialist to work with them. If the Insider REALLY wants a GOOD story, pay for them to get help. Film the results of that! To even suggest that they be removed is irresponsible and shows NO respect for the family. Yes, this family does need help! But they do NOT need to be separated! That would NOT solve a thing!
    anonymous anonymous 10/16/09 Reply

    • Thank you for stating the truth about the foster care system. In many, many cases, CPS does more harm than good by removing children from their homes. We have been foster parents for years (and adopted 6 of our foster kids) and we have seen the damage done to children by over-zealous, wet-behind-the-ears and/or know-it-all social workers who think placing a child out of the home is the first and best solution when working with a family in need of parenting assistance.

  • TLC indicated today that The Heene father recently came to them with the idea of his family having their own reality show. Also, although she is a wacko herself, the lady that was on Wife Swap says he uses publicity to get money from people for his "Scientific" experiments. The whole point of notifying anyone about this, is the fact that this "flying disc" was expensive and he couldn't get anyone to retrieve it without adding the fact that there was a child onboard!

  • If it wasnt a hoax why was this child so petrified of his dad that he stayed hidden for 5 hours..No 6 year old can stay still that long under normal circumstances
    anonymous anonymous 10/17/09 Reply

  • The parents should be made to pay for all the money that they cost with this , and go to jail. Those parents seem pretty looney especially the dad .

  • One other thing I would like to say. Did we forget about the plain that went down in the HUDSON RIVER. It only took a bird to bring that plain down. What do you think that ballon would do to a plain. Can any one send a ballon up into our skies. Don't forget all the plains that were redirected the delays that it caused not to mention the coast to the airlines and the state. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE!!!!!!!

And the lil boy Falcon throwing up come on..... What does these people think we are DUMB! We don't think so. The dad just makes up excuses for the Public to feel sorry for them? They should PAY THESE PEOPLE BACK FOR WASTING THEIR TIME ON SOMETHING STUPID! Thank You!

  • Three times in the last three days, Nicey Nash has accused parents of "borderline" abuse of their children. First it was Jon and Kate or just Kate maybe. From everything I can see, Kate is a stellar parent and Jon, though an ass, tries to be a good parent. They are fed all organice foods, go to private schools and live in a mansion in the country. Yes, they're on TV but seem to be pretty much doing what they would be doing anyway and getting paid well for it. How is this abuse? The second day, she accused Christy Brinkley and her PITA ex of the same thing. I don't know much about these kids but can bet that they are showered with all the riches their mother's money can buy. The third day, she accused the ballon boy's parents. While the father is certainly chaotic and impulsive and the mother doesn't seem to have any control and the kids act accordingly, they may be neglecting discipline but seem happy and healthy. She should really watch what she says. I heard that Nicey is abusive herself and attempted to strangle a coworder.

Judge not that ye be not judged. Ye will be judged by the same judgement by which ye judge. Anyone want to guess who said that

  • Authorities Preparing to Charge Heene Family. Sheriff Jim Alderden indicated criminal charges will be filed against one or both parents.
The significance of a conviction is that authorities could go after the Heene family for the cost of emergency responders
    anonymous anonymous 10/17/09 Reply

  • He said the charges now would likely be misdemeanors, but that "hardly seems serious enough given the circumstances. Alderden also said he would consult with the DA and with the FAA about pursuing more "appropriate charges."

She is an attention seeker just as bad if not worse than Jon and Kate or the boy in the wanna be UFO story. The Insider needs to kick her to the dumpster. She is all about $$$$ like the people she critics!

The father is so immature and silly. I hope this father learned a lesson from all of this and try to be more responsible in his decisions in the future. It's good the outcome wasn't fatal....
