If Kate didn't want to be in the public spotlight, she wouldn't be showing up on TV every other day doing interviews. Nor would she be exploring more TV show possibilities or looking to become an acress or voice-over. She claims to hate it but does everything she can to fan it.

Totally agree!! She loves the celebrity and is scared of the thought of losing her fame,fortune, and lifestyle by not having the show. What happened to "keeping it private and public"? Even though I am wholeheartedly for the kids, I have to feel for Jon more than Kate, just because of how she treated him on the show. I am not defending the choices he has made the past few months, but Kate tore him down on the show, can you imagine how it was behind the scenes? I do have to agree with Kate on ONE thing she did say.. When you have children, it is time to grow up and be a parent, no matter what age. The children always come first. -- That's not to say that a couple can not have "date nights"..I strongly believe in that. Parents have to make time for themselves to stay connected.

Please try just try and get your facts straight. It is Jon who has appeared on a daily basis on multiple networks for lots of money. Kate has had only Two concerning the marriage and not once put her husband down.

Well said. Kate loves all of this attention. Although, we feed into it and give her more attention by having these shows continue to talk about her and Jon. Jon and Kate need to stay out of the public and away from the cameras until they can get their life together. The have no idea what they are slowly doing to their kids. It has already been apparent in some of the more recent episodes. It is totally ridiculous that this much time and effort is being spent on these two so-called parents, when so many other families are going through much worse. Kate acts if she is the only woman to go through a terrible divorce, let a lone a divorce period. She is sitting pretty...why is she worried? She may lose it all? How many people have lost their home this year?? I have to say, if Kate were to walk in my doctor's office as the new nurse...i think i may have to change doctors!

The woman won't admit that she single handedly distroyed the relationships around her. Starting with her family- parents, sibiling, friends and marriage. Since the birth of her 6 - State of PA has upset with her since her comments regarding her getting medical-cal for her little ones.
She's has loved the spotlight from the start & TLC desperate for ratings gave her that opportunity. Her actions through-out the 5 seasons have been horrible towards everyone around her.
Now she's complained about the Paps when her actions lead to all teh attention. I sincerely hope the rating were low and that it ends the interest of story.
Just think in a few months all hear followers will dwindle away once the $$ is gone. Which means she will go back to work like the rest of the world. I just hope that I don't ever have to come across her if I'm ever rendored aid.-

Kate and the 8 didn't have to deal w/the intense media attention until Jon was photographed with the first of a string of women. She gives interviews, but what woman in her situation wouldn't want the opportunity to speak publicly. If Jon thought about how his selfish, self-centered fence press conferences and tabloid tv show interviews would affect Kate and the 8, it certainly hasn't stopped him. History is the best predictor of future behavior...Jon isn't going to change; he will always be out for Jon.

I also believe that she does not want out. It is a lot of free money and she gets to live big. She could get out of the whole circle if she wants to, but it will be hard and will take a lot of discipline like going back to work and being real with herself. I mean Really? There are soo many important things going on (world changing events) and your covering the Gosselin's 24/7. Just grow up. The popularity of the show and their split put her at a celebrity level I don't think anyone can really prepare for and now that fame has taken over her life. I feel sorry for her and her children for that. They are not being allowed to deal with their family crisis as we (the public) would be. I wish them all the best and they are in my prayers.

I don't think she knew it would get to this degree. I think it started off as a way to support the kids and stay home to be with them. Jon couldn't keep a job when they were born and they almost lost there home, etc. I think it turned into much more. I think she is comfortable with the cameras now, so why not keep doing the show. I am sick of everyone nit picking. My mom had eight of us. Some close in age. She and my father took care of us. But, oh yeah my dad was around. Working two jobs while my mom kept house. Did everyone forget that Jon was the one cheating? Now she needs to take care of her kids. A nursing job is not gonna cut it. Plus with daddy not working, someone has to bring that money in. I think Kate Gollelin is basically a nice person. I think she started off the show with good intentions. However, I do believe she is now blinded by the fame and the fortune. I don't believe that she is capable of making an informed, thoughtful decision to stop the filming. She's addicted, and she has convienced herself that it's all for the kids, which is no longer true. Also, given her comments that aired Monday night, she stated that she distanced herself from her own parents, because of "different opinions" about how she was raising her kids. I think Kate shuts out and cuts off ANYONE that has an opinion that is different from her own. She views them as betrayers, oportunists and detrimental. She has completely deluded herself and she could benefit from counseling. On the other hand, I feel Jon Gosselin is a spoiled little boy, that never took the rains of his place as husband and father. He wasn't ready for "big, real life" and once the money and fame came around, he saw his chance to break out and party and basically rebel. Jon Gosselin needs to grow up and Kate Gosselin needs to realize that her opinion is not the only one that should guide her.

Kate is not trapped, nor are the kids. They have grown up being on TV, it is their norm. What would be bad is taking away what is normal to them. And, as a single mom myself, I admire Kate for fighting to do what is right for her kids and maintain what is normal for them. If my son and I could be on a reality TV show and I no longer had to worry about how to pay the bills and actually be able to have dreams come true like being able to buy a house and pay for college I would do it, and I bet other single moms out there would too. Time to stop judging when countless others would be doing the same if they had the opportunity.

I am on "Team 8--the Gosselin Kids"! I hope they are receiving therapy, other than Kate's description of "speaking to them on their level"..How could a mother tell the entire world how her children, no matter their age, how they reacted to the news of their parents' decision to divorce? Per Kate: "Mady said, 'I'm not surprised', Cara...cried into a pillow, and the "little ones" said 'What's for snack'.." These children are innocent bystanders and I can not imagine what they are truly feeling and going through. If Jon didn't like being bossed around they should have went to therapy to try to work things out. He shouldn't have gone around screwing everything he could get his hands on and spending money on cars, motorcycles, cigarettes, and whatever else he has been doing. Kate has done the best she can for her children. The show made them financially secure. The cameras and tabloids didn't become an issue until Jon started cheating. Jon brought all this on not only himself but the entire family. I hope it was worth everything he has put them through to act like the fool he is. I am most disappointed in Jon and his bad behavior, prancing around with all those other women before getting a divorce, and stealing money from his own kids, to buy thing for his girlfriends.

As much as people complain about Kate being in the public, blame the shows like The Insider, and Show Biz Tonight, for continuing to talk about her. They are keeping her in the public eye.

The only reason she is so famous is because of the same people that write bad stuff about her and buy the magazines that tell all the lies! Why is she not allowed to cry? Why is it always fake tears? SHes going through a divorce, not to mention the man she used to know used to be MARRIED to is a complete tool now. He is hurting these children, Kate hasn't said anything bad about him, he said on national television he despised her...what happens when his children see that? That is hurting these kids. Like Kate said they signed up for a reality show they didn;t expect to be getting a divorce...the paparazzi showed up when they started having problems not when they were all just one big happy family!!! People like the drama too much! And then wanna say she is a bad person. People wanna say she is money hungrey because she dresses different??? People would say stuff if she didn't change her apperance after making all that money!!! I think we all need to let them deal with the divorce in private and go back to just watching them taking care of their 8 kids!!!!

I'm so sick of hearing about Kate and John, they both want to be in the spotlight that's why they both do thing, Kate likes the attention that she's getting, she's not looking out for her kids. Trust me if u wanted out of the spotlight you'd be out of it, you wouldn't care what people think or say about you. you like the attention, you want people to feel sorry for you, the sad thing is people feel more sorry for your kids then you or john.

Kate, as I have viewed her, happens to be a very strong, creative individual. In this time she is trapped by her own fame in the sense she can't get away from the ridiculous people who can't recognize a good work ethic and a human being! I just don't understand how no one sees how much she is still trying to work, put money in the college funds, put food on the table, do all of that, all while going through a very public divorce. Yea, she sometimes may not react or do things perfect, but when does being human come it? What happens if a camera was on you 24/7?

Kate chose her own destiny. She wanted the life to document the life or her children. She has to take the good with the bad. She may not have asked for the fame and all that comes with it, but that is the price that has to be paid. Although I am sad for her, Jon and the kids for all the hard times that they are going through with the divorce, but they brought it on themselves. I wish them all the best.

Perhaps, however, she did not going into this expecting the paparazzi and the news media to invade every minute and aspect of her life. She feels the need to respond and defend, I would imagine. If she was an experienced "actress", then perhaps she would know how to work the system, but give her a break. She is attacked constantly. I would feel the need to defend myself if attacked as she was. She saw an opportunity in the reality show to make good money to raise her family. Anyone who thinks she asked for all this, you are crazy. Why are you all so ready to criticize someone who happened to pick the wrong fork in the road. Jon created this mess. Sooner or later, perhaps they may even fix things and work out a relationship of some sort, but if they were not constantly pursued, they would probably just live their lives. The media and paparrazi seem to have a way of getting their story. It is about money all the way around. She is not a Lindsey Lohan or Britney Spears. She has been victimized by her hopes over making a great living - give her and the kids a break already and boo hoo to Jon. He can fix what he broke, so Jon, do it already.

After watching her on TLC the other night.. I will not watch again. She loves the free trips and the things they get. that is what it is all about. The money train is cut off. Kate is making the choice to remain in the public eye through her continual appearances on tv, etc. If she wants to live a more private life, she can choose other ways to support her family, including using the residuals from the tv show and books. But with her stated desire to have her own tv show and appear in movies, she is making her intentions clear.

I cannot believe this woman cannot afford to raise these kids without being on TV. even though her and Jon are separated, he needs to help. She even said, that when they were together, her being a nurse, and him being into computers, they could not support their kids. Give your heads a shake. My parents had 8 kids, and we lived in a 3 bedroom home, we had a roof over our head, food in our stomachs, and clothes on our backs. Years ago, most families were quite large, and they lived within their means, no manicures, pedicures , million dollar home. Trouble is, they want the best of everything. I watched that show at the beginning it was refreshing. Her ego and nastiness ruined the show. She is one hard cookie who is really not a celebrity like she thinks she is. I am sure she is hiding all the money.

Kate cannot stop the show because she is too far in. The only way to support those 8 kids is to keep the show. The only way to continue taking care of that huge house and all surrounding grounds is to keep the show. She is in too deep and cannot take a chance and dig her way out. Give her a break. Jon is having a midlife crisis and has a love/hate relationship with celebrity.

Kate has her faults but her main focus has been and continues to be her children. Whatever the hate-mongers out there think of her she has handled the whole situation with grace and class. Who wouldn’t like the money and all the perks the show brought? Does anyone remember they were barely making it in the beginning? Jon had it rough too but there is no excuse for what he did and continues to do to his family do. With a degenerate like Jon as a husband with his dishonesty, (why did he renew their vows last year?) adulterous behavior and whining ("I was only 22 when I married. By 24 I had twins and by 27 I had 8 kids”-- BOO HOO!) Kate tolerated him much better than I would have.
All Jon seem to do is lie and act like a jerk! Wearing a t-shirt on the last episode that said Lies repeated down the front. What message was he sending his children with that? He says he wants his kids to know why he did what he did and to know the truth and what an honest man he is. Get real! Kate was on him a lot of the time during their shows. Mostly trying to get him to grow up and act like a man and father. Any women with a lot of small children can get a little “_itchy at times. Way before he got caught he was sullen and negative on the show. So put upon! Poor thing.
He is making the talk show circuit (storming off the set only to return and continue his immature tirades because he “needs to work to support his children”. Hailey is more well spoken and mature than he. He should have been thinking of his children before his behavior caused the cancellation of a very lucrative show. Does he really think he’s so famous he can have any kind of career in the media? If he gets any kind of work I for one won’t watch.

Kate thinks she is famous but the proper word is infamous (you know, the famous in a BAD way). She is abrasive, obnoxious, annoying, and is suffering from delusions of grandeur and a sense of entitlement big enough to float the whole fleet of battleships.

Jon hurts his kids by his irresponsible actions (brought about by Kate). Kate hurts her kids by her neglect (when has SHE walked in HER shoes like some say WE should do, how are her kids her main focus when she is flitting about from appearance to appearance). Kate is in love with getting whatever she can FREE, that's not being FRUGAL, that's being GREEDY! They earned enough money in their 2 1/2 years (doesn't sound like as long as 5 seasons, does it! So NOW she talks about their life in SEASONS which she totally reamed Jon out for doing). They SHOULD be able to live comfortably for a very long time off that money or better yet, GET A WORKING JOB, you know, where you don't park your saggy blue bikini bottom butt on your white resin throne in your STARish sunglasses barking orders at everyone, husband (now ex, lucky guy), kids (can't be ex'd until they get old enough to go for emancipation), family, friends, crews..... well, actually everyone who isn't a Kate Koolaid Kwaffer.
