Well Im not one to judge..so I wont, However what you see on the Disney chanel is very much different from what she must be like at home or when shes out with her friends,she cant play miss goodie goodie forever.These days 15 year olds are way out there. shes not a bad person for taking pics like those...however Vanity Fair shouldve thought about it being looked at as Child pornography..Im mean come on, these days you have to be careful, I guess they just werent thinking and got caught up in the moment. Who knows...All I think is that the shoot shouldnt have been done with a 15 year old.

the photo is shocking and out of the ordinary for disney characters but I don't think there is anything wrong with it. It is not revealing or inappropriate unless it us intended for younger children (about 7 yrs old to see it) But this is why the picture is of Miley Cyrus not Hannah Montana or Miley Stewart....this is not related to the show in any way

A lot of men from other countries wouldn't find white girls attractive, just like how white people don't find middle easterns attractive.

I think it's sad that this photo has given birth to so much controversy and is the subject of so much ridicule. People look at it and their minds immediately turn to scandal and abuse, because society has trained us all to believe that contemporary teen idols are merely angels waiting to fall from grace. I think it's one of the most powerful celebrity photos in recent memory and a noble attempt by the Annie Leibovitz to reach beyond a normally trite and superficial genre of photography and touch something greater. I see a dialogue between the viewer and the artist that speaks of the intensity and power of youth and its vulnerability to exploitation. The bare skin of her BACK is an expression of weakness and vulnerability, hinting at the helplessness of young stars forced to bear the pressures of their fame. Young stars and even adults often break under the pressure of keeping up the appearance of their carefully crafted personae. The real shame in all of this is that one attempt at expressing something beyond the shallow personality fronted by Disney Television was immediately derided even though it was artistic and tasteful.

This situations makes me upset, because her parents have seen what happens to all the other young stars. Why would they do this to their daughter. I also didn't appreciate the comment that you can't say no to Annie. That just enforces the lack of respect people in this industry have for one another. As always the girls that have come before her have ruined it for everyone. Even if it was intended to be inocent, past experiences can not out weigh the persent. I don't even think she was old enough to appear in the magazine. She is a young actress.

I think it was taken by Annie Leibovitz as art, and I think that's probably how Miley Cyrus intended it. But, I think it is sort of a provocative image, especially for a 15 year old. I can understand some people's outrage, but I don't think any of them intended for it to be a "child porn" photo. I wonder if Miley Cyrus' camp approved the photo before it was published.

This is not a good picture for Miley, but the thing is her dad wasn't there when they took the photo. Her teacher and grandmother were the ones who approved it. It's not completly Miley's fault it was her parents who said it was okay. Miley should have however thought about how people would take and look at the picture. She should have backed out of it if she could. And the way you guys are saying it's just her back and it's no big deal shows me that teens these days get away with way to much. My wife and I are evangelical christians. Unless there are more photos(I have only seen the one) then I find this photo to be of an artistic nature. When I go to any beach I see more provocative skin than this photo. Miley is only exposing her back. This is exactly what the photo reminds me of. Annie L. captured her beauty and innocence in a way that many other photog's could never achieve. It looks almost like a painting. There is absolutely nothing pornograhic about this pic. I've seen pics of young female celebrities fully clothed that are far more sexually suggestive. MC's parents were with her for the entire shoot and I doubt very much that they would've allowed their daughter to be portrayed in a less than tasteful manner.
