What's Next For 'The Walking Dead?'
I'll admit it, this season of The Walking Dead has been a lot more like The Talking Dead as life at Hershel's farm pretty much eradicated the excitement and enthusiasm I had for season one. But the final five minutes of last night's mid-season finale went a long way towards killing my indifference towards the series as [spoiler alert!] Shane led the gang in a Barn-ageddon assault on Hershel's collection of undead ... which shockingly included Sophia!
Yes, the little girl we've been searching for all season long was right under their noses leading Rick to put a bullet in her head and everyone to wonder what's next.
A question that was posed to the cast in this new video, which previews what you can expect when the Dead begin Waking again this February. "It's about how sick the people are becoming," Laurie Holden, who plays Andrea, says about season 2.5. "[It's about] how dangerous the people are towards one another."
"The stakes of losing Sophia have made it clear to everyone that no one gets off easy," Sarah Wayne Callies (Lori) adds, while Andrew Lincoln reveals, "Because of the death of Sophia, Rick loses hope. It sort of changes him forever."
Watch the cast reflect on season two and preview what's next. Then keep clicking to see a scene from Nebraska, the next new episode ... airing February 12, 2012.
