What You'll Never See on 'Vampire Diaries'
Vampire Diaries has continually pushed the boundaries of what's logically plausible and emotionally tolerable throughout its three seasons but yesterday during a chat with reporters following a screening of Dangerous Liaisons -- of which I am sworn to secret until 9 p.m. PST (come back then!) -- EP Julie Plec revealed a few things you will never see on the hit series.
Daniel Gillies Spills on Elijah's Return
When I asked her about the likelihood of non-Mystic Falls law enforcement agents ever coming to town (ya know, like if this mysterious stabber continues his/her reign of terror for much longer), Julie said, "Truth be told we've had the "FBI Agents Come to Town" pitch on the board since episode three of season one. As this thought that somebody, at some point, is going to have to come to this town and be like, 'What the hell is going on here?!? Sheriff you're fired!'"
Vampire Diaries is Just The Best!
But she quickly added, "I hope we don’t have to get there any time soon because it opens us to up to a world and a lot of things outside the walls of our town that I don't know if we're ready to explore. We'll do our desperate best to avoid it."
I later asked her about the possibility that Elena's parents aren't actually dead -- a theory some fans floated after Elena's fingerprints were found on the stake used to stab Meredith's ex-boyfriend. "If it turns out Elena's parents aren't dead, that will probably happen in the FBI episode," Julie laughed. "Which means I will be in retirement, on a beach in Hawaii and someone else will be writing the show. So it could happen -- that's when you can be like, 'Remember the day when Julie Plec said, "If the FBI comes to town, the shows dead...""
