Jennifer Lopez in Court, Again

Some marriages continue to have trouble even after they end. On November 6, Jennifer Lopez filed a lawsuit against her first husband Ojani Noa, who she claims violated a confidentiality agreement when he began shopping around a video of the duo in late October. According to the $10 million lawsuit, Noa had been trying to secure a buyer for a mockumentary to be titled “How I Married Jennifer Lopez: the J. Lo and Ojani Noa Story” as well as home video (that runs for more than 11 hours and depicts the singer in “sexual situations) while on her 1997 honeymoon with Noa. (The couple split in 1998) This isn’t the first time Noa has been accused of breaching the agreement back in 2006, he threatened to write a tell-all book about their relationship before a judge killed the book and awarded Lopez with more than $500,000 in compensation. Noa’s actions directly conflict with a 2004 confidentiality agreement that forbids him to divulge details of their relationship. The courts will rule December 1, on whether Noa broke his confidentiality agreement or not.

After her star-making turn in Star Trek, one can’t help but think that, James Cameron wishes her make Zoe Saldana a bit more recognizable in his new movie, “Avatar”. (Out December 18.) She’s an indigenous Na’Vi after all, unlike Sam Worthington’s human-placed-inside-a-Na’Vi body that looks a little like Sam Worthington. She even talks in a strange accent! Want to see her in the next 12 months? Try “Takers” and, even better, Neil LaBute’s remake of 2007 British flick, “Death At A Funeral” that tantalizingly comes with a tweaked script from Cris Rock. Expect her involvement in Star Trek 2 to be announced as well, but in the meantime prepare for “Avatar” and the work she had to do to become a Na’vi…”It was the most physically demanding role I’ve ever done. I was training seven days a week with, Wushu, archery, horse riding, weightlifting and months of dialect-coaching so I could learn the language of the Na’vi,” she says. James Cameron took me into his world and it took a long time to get out!” She’s the blue one by the way, hanging with Worthington a lot on the planet of Pandora.

In a galaxy far, far away… (Five light years from Earth, to be precise,) is the planet of Pandora, the setting of James Cameron’s “Avatar” and it’s about to become the giant battleground for an epic war between the native people of the Na’vi and the invading military forces of Earth’s Resources Development Alliance (RDA). The humans see the Na’vi as ferocious aliens that must be destroyed to save Earth. But to the Na’vi, the humans are aliens destroying their planet and therefore have to fight back to save Pandora. “This has got a love story in it, but it’s not primarily a love story. It’s about a guy finding his place in the world, and his sense of duty.” said Cameron. “But when we got into making it, we found all these little nuanced moments between the two characters. It became a more emotional film. But ultimately, when it’s all said and done, it’s a love story.” he added. “But I haven’t’ seen a love story like this one before.” commented Zoe Saldana.” (As so will we December 18) “ They’re soul mates,” she said, “ but also soldiers.”

Sandra Bullocks Blind Side

Sandra Bullock plays a feisty, real-life southern spitfire named Leigh Anne Tuohy in “The Blind Side”. (out in theaters November 20) “I’m all about loving and giving, but I’m going to kick your ass if you do something you’re not supposed to do.” said, Tuohy. Adapted from a book by Michael Lewis, the film recounts how Tuohy and her husband, Sean (Tim McGraw) – a wealthy white Memphis couple with two kids of their own – took in a homeless black teenager named Michael Oher (Quinton Aaron). Despite the raised eyebrows, snickering, and worse from many around them, the Tuohys wound up adopting Other as their son and helping him get into college and eventually join the NFL, where he now plays left tackle for the Baltimore Ravens. “She did a good job,” Tuohy says. “And if she’d done a bad job, I’d have told you in a second. “I’m all about being honest.” She laughs a brassy laugh. “And she has nice ta-tas.” she adds. “ I was elated about that.”

Private Practice is Getting Steamy!

Warning: If you’re a fan of Grey’s Anatomy lovebirds Mark (Eric Dane) and Lexie (Cryler Leigh), stop reading this or if you do grab a defibrillator before reading! A Grey’s Anatomy/Private Practice crossover slated to air in January, will find Mark spending some quality time with his currently single ex, Addison (Kate Walsh). “They’ve both really grown up since they were together, and most of the animosity that they had is gone,” says Shonda Rhimes, executive producer of both shows. “Now they’re friends, but they may end up falling back into their old patterns while they’re together.” But wait, there’s more (so keep those paddles handy). The reason Mark summons Addison to Seattle Grace (prompting him to visit her in L.A. In the second hour of the crossover) is that he needs her to perform surgery on a woman from his past! Actually, make that a girl (played by “Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles” alum Leven Rambin, who first appears on November 19.) and a pregnant one at that! Rhimes declines to reveal the character’s connection to Mark, but one of the rumors currently making the rounds is that the girl is his…daughter! “It’s a new obstacle for (Lexie and Mark),” teases Rhimes of Rambin’s role. “I’m not sure it’s the kind of obstacle people are expecting, but it’s definitely a new one. I’m not sure they’ll stick together through it.” So there you go, you have been warned. Okay, you can go ahead and use those paddles now!

Within weeks, she and her mom, (as chaperone) were in New York, where Michelle’s worldwide modeling career began. Meanwhile Michelle pursued her interest in music by writing songs. Adam and Zac Hooper grew up in Cleveland, Georgia, with a father who liked music ranging from Bruce Springsteen and Pink Floyd to Johnny Cash and Charlie Daniels. The brothers put their music careers on hold and were working in their family’s restaurant when Adam began collaboration with John Milldrum, an Alabama-based musician he’d met on the regional band circuit. The trio soon became “Houston County” named for the southern Alabama county where John lived. Their self-titled debut CD showcases such songs as the upbeat and summery “Workin’ on a Suntan,” and “Nothing’s Gonna Shake Me” (a declaration of steadfast love.) Wright Now!

Robin Wright has recently overhauled just about every aspect of her life. In August, she filed for divorce from Sean Penn, shedding his last name and putting an end to a turbulent 20-year relationship, during which they broke up reconciled at least three times. Shortly thereafter, she moved back to L.A. (with kids Dylan, 18 and Hooper, 16) after 12 years of raising a family in Marin County, near San Francisco. Her new home, in Santa Monica, happens to be on the exact same eucalyptus-shaded street where she lived 25 years ago while shooting her breakthrough role, in 1987’s “The Princess Bride.” Newly single and embracing her talent, Robin Wright reclaims the spotlight in two films. She first appears with Jim Carey in “Disney’s A Christmas Carol” which came out in theaters November 6. She then appears in “The Private Lives Of Pippa Lee.” where she plays a married woman who looks back on her life, in a star-packed ensemble drama featuring Julianne Moore, Keanu Reeves, Blake Lively, and Alan Arkin. This movie comes to theaters November 27. Wright seems exhilarated about starting over, both personally and professionally. She feels like she’s just reaching her peak, and she’s hoping to broaden her big-screen persona. “I want to do something else, other than the internal, stoic, depressed wife where the husband’s f—king around on her and she wants to kill herself,” says Wright. “I want to do comedy, like a contemporary “Annie Hall” with Robert Downy,” Suddenly, hopes and dreams are pouring out of her. “I want to work. I want to direct. I want to live. I want to be known.” She said. (Pause) “By me.” (Pause) “Finally.”

Music of the Night

While the “Twilight: New Moon” soundtrack draws blood atop the album charts, the CW’s “The Vampire Diaries” has been casting its own hypnotic spell with moody, atmospheric songs by bands so indie and hip even Edward Cullen might need to Google them. “There’s something about the indie artists that really works well for our vibe.” says co-executive producer Julie Plec, stressing that the tunes heard in “Vampire Diaries” aren’t just background music, but help advance the romance and drama of Damon, Elena and Stefan. For example:the gorgeous “Gravity” by torch singer Sara Bareilles, which Plec chose for Stefan and Elena’s first kiss. Or the aptly titled “Beauty of the Dark” by Danish artist Mads Langer, heard during Elena’s realization that Stefan is a vampire. Even a Moby cover of a New Order song, “Temptation,” popped up in the “Friday Night Bites” football episode, as Damon stood over Elena’s bed. “You get a sense of both his darkness and his humanity.” Plec says of the scene, which originally featured a song by Death Cab for Cutie, (a New Moon” artist.) “We have to work hard to not sound too much like the “Twilight” soundtracks.” Plec says. “But the success for them musically can only help us.” Plec says “Vampire Diaries” producers hope to release a CD of songs used on the show, soon.

Rihanna Finaly Breaks Her Silence

For the nine months following her assault at the hands of then boyfriend Chris Brown, Rihanna chose to keep quiet. But not anymore. With her fourth album, (rated R) set to drop on November 23, the 21-year-old singer sat down with ABC’s Diane Sawyer for a multi-part interview that aired on “Good Morning America” and “20/20” on November 5 and 6. “This happened to me,” she said of the attack. “It could happen to anybody.” She spoke further about the incident in “Glamour.” addressing for the first time the February leak of a graphic photo showing her injuries: “It was humiliating, that is not a photo you would show to anybody. I felt completely taken advantage of.” Also shocking to Rihanna was the media maelstrom that followed the Grammy-weekend attack. Detailing the attention. She remembers wondering why there were helicopters circling her house? “There were over 100 people in my cul-de-sac?”), she said. “I felt like I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears.”
