Beck just put out a new CD called Modern Guilt (which on first listen is pretty awesome) and in an interview with Parade magazine he discussed the role that fatherhood has on his songwriting: How has fatherhood influenced your work? Are any of the songs on this album inspired by your family? "Not directly, but like everything in your life it comes out here and there. Angelina Is Ordered To Gain Weight

Angelina Jolie is going to star in a sequel to The Thomas Crown Affair (love that movie) and in preparation for it she has been ordered to put on 28 pounds by the boss. She has a little extra weight on right now because of giving birth to the twins earlier this month, but she has to keep that weight on and add a little extra out of fears that she will faint and the costumers will have to take in her wardrobe. I guess that's what happened on Wanted and the boss doesn't want a re-run of those difficulties, it's hard enough to make a movie without the star collapsing on set. Her health was understandable, she attributes her weight loss and fragility to the emotional distress of the loss of her mother last year. I loved the first Thomas Crown Affair and the second is reported to be physically demanding on it's stars which is right up Angelina's alley. Is Pierce Brosnan going to be in the sequel? Brad Pitt Threatens Legal Action Against Paparazzi for Post-Baby Photos

Two days ago we reported that Angelina Jolie had been spotted enjoying the summer weather with her children in France. Since then, Brad Pitt has successfully shut down publication of said photos and is now threatening to sue the paparazzi for taking said pictures with a powerful telephoto lense. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have reportedly sold the babies photos to a U.S. publication for $11 million dollars, all of which will be donated to charity. Pitt's lawyer, Yael Holtkamp, said the taking of the photos was a "malicious violation" of the actor's privacy rights under both French and California law. Holtkamp said one unspecified photo agency that had already sold the pictures had agreed to stop further sales and removed them from its Web site. Several celebrity websites that had links to the pictures had removed them by late on Thursday, including us.

Will they get married at her new house? I hear it's a veritable fortress with all the security she has. I hope he is different in person because his on stage persona leaves something to be desired. The Truth About Christian Bale

Reports of Christian Bale allegedly assaulting his mother and sister seem to be nothing more than drama. “Christian was stressed, but he didn’t lay a finger on anyone. Instead, he flew off the handle and cussed his mother. He just got very loud because his mother was saying some very outrageous things about him, and his wife,” the source said. Bale’s lawyers issued a statement Tuesday denying the allegations of assault. The actor’s sister, Sharon Bale, told Britain’s Telegraph an “incident” had occurred but would not offer up any details surrounding the events that lead to her brother’s arrest. “OK, there was an incident but the police are dealing with it,” she said. “It is an extremely sensitive situation. There is nothing more I can say.” Jenny Bale was also tight-lipped, but said they did not call the police. “Yes, I was there, and yes there was a family situation, but the police are handling it and I cannot say anymore at the moment,” Jenny told the Telegraph. “We didn’t call the police to the scene. I can’t say anymore, but we didn’t call the police.” Thank goodness.

Angelina and Brad brought the twins home on Sunday but there are already rumors that Angelina wants to adopt another family member. She wants to add to her own little rainbow a new facet. How will Brad cope with it all? How could you even ask that? Brad Pitt is the man. If you've seen any pictures of Brad with the kids you would see him being a good dad, yes even the one with Shiloh on his lap in the golf cart. Nicole Kidman Gets No Advice From Hugh

Aww, isn't that picture cute. What is the number one annoying thing you get as a parent? For me it was all the people who told me what I needed to do as a first time parent. The advice that they felt obligated to give, I knew I wanted to figure out what worked for me. Hugh Jackman knows what I mean, which is why he isn't offering new mom Nicole Kidman any advice. Hugh says that the best advice he ever received was from the doctor delivered Oscar, he said, "Congratulations, don't rock the baby". Hugh says that two weeks later Oscar wouldn't sleep and they started rocking him and they were stuck doing it forever, or at least until he could go to sleep on his own. My MIL has a great story about rocking her babies, I didn't rock mine from her experience. Source

Angie And Brad Couldn't Get It Done On There Own?

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt turned to IVF to get pregnant the second time around. Is it a story or is it true? The fact of the matter is that they want to have a large family at a young age. Between filming in different places at different times, the kids they already have and the little bit of time they have to themselves they would be leaving too much up to chance and timingso they turned to IVF to speed up and de-stress the process. Get pregnant have a kid, get pregnant have two more and so on. She'll have to give her body a break so we should see them adopting here pretty soon. The chance of having fraternal twins naturally at Angelina's age is under 1 percent; with in vitro, the chances are 25 percent. Says Dr. Arthur Wisot of L.A.'s Reproductive Medical Group (who did not treat the couple), "We live in an era of reproductive freedom, so anybody can do anything they want within legal limits." She told Elle U.K., "If we're going to have 10 kids, we'd like to raise them while we're young." More power to you Angelina and Brad, I'll stick to my 2.1 kids thank you very much.

Mary McCormack is all about tough love at home and on the screen. Mary admitted that while "it's tricky with the second" and it is also "different" than with the first. She says, "With the first I could have done anything out of her diaper bag, open heart surgery, anything. At the drop of a hat I could have done anything. Second -- no diaper bag, sometimes no diaper." She described the diffences between the first and the second, Rose had a penny in her mouth and Mary knew it was going to be swallowed and she was across the room and I was like, 'A penny's gonna go down.' I'll gun it for a quarter but a penny's going to go down." Mary McCormack is on a hit TV show, In Plain Sight, and is a mother to two little girls Rose and Margaret who are both under the age of 4. Charlotte Church is so happy she's pregnant again however, she's not too excited about the pregnancy weight gain this time around. We all know it's so much harder to lose it the second time around and at 22 she's really pushing it. She said that she's, "not looking forward to getting a big fat face and arms again, I was just beginning to get my body back and I was doing quite well. It's what women are made for, if you can't indulge yourself during pregnancy, when can you?" A "friend" told Closer Magazine that Charlotte is craving crisps and chocolate this time. It looks like it's all going to her boobies doesn't it? Hmmm, I worked at Cheesecake Factory during my 1st pregnancy and craved Cheesecake, it was awful. Source

Nicole Kidman Faked Her Pregnancy! Yes!

Nicole Kidman gave birth on July 7 to Sunday Rose - or did she? Seriously, have you seen the woman lately? She was spotted out just DAYS after giving birth and she did not look like a woman who just popped a baby out. Then she was seen out with Keith at Starbucks and um, she's wearing WHITE pants (women, you KNOW what I'm talking about), and a tight-fitting blouse that shows off her belly - ya, her post baby belly, that again, does not look post baby. Sure, Nicole didn't get huge during her pregnancy and didn't pop until later in her pregnancy but still - a uterus takes 4 to 8 weeks to shrink after childbirth (length of time depends on whether or not you're breastfeeding), so unless she birthed her uterus at the same time, I don't know how she's looking so trim and tight just a little over two weeks after "having" her baby. Someone please tell me! More photos after the jump! Nicole was out on Monday morning, heading to her yoga class - of course she's doing yoga just two weeks after giving birth! She faked this whole pregnancy didn't she? Right? If you know her secret, fill me in, PLEASE. Oh - and ladies - how is she wearing a sheer, white top (yes she has a bra on, I can see it) with her nips peeking through - shouldn't she be wearing breast pads? How are her boobs not leaking? "Ugly Betty" actress America Ferrera insured her teeth for $10 million with Lloyd's of London. Actor-dancer Fred Astaire insured his legs for a reported $75,000 per leg Country singer Dolly Parton embraced two of her best assets by insuring them for $600,000.
