About Me

THE INSIDER, CBS Television Distribution's nightly, half-hour entertainment newsmagazine, enters its sixth season on September 14, 2009.

This season, THE INSIDER introduces an innovative panel format with host Lara Spencer moderating a discussion over the day’s most talked about headlines with correspondents Samantha Harris and Chris Jacobs and celebrity panelist Niecy Nash in a segment entitled, "What Side Are You On?" A fifth panelist slot rotates through well-known comedians and newsmakers.

In September of 2008, THE INSIDER, along with companion show ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT, became the first syndicated newsmagazine shows to be produced in high-definition (HD). Coinciding with the technical change, THE INSIDER also moved its production to a brand new state-of-the-art stage at CBS Studio Center, and Lara Spencer relocated from New York to Los Angeles to become the sole host of the show.

THE INSIDER premiered in 2004 as the highest-rated debut of any newsmagazine in syndication since 1996. Based on the popular "Entertainment Tonight" segment of the same name, THE INSIDER reports on the world of celebrity from a unique "insider" perspective, using first-person interviews, special "inside" access, "behind-closed-door" reports and "inside information" from knowledgeable sources and contacts.

THE INSIDER is produced and distributed by CBS Television Distribution in Studio City, Calif. Linda Bell Blue is Executive Producer. D.J. Petroro is Co-Executive Producer. Lara Spencer is Host and Moderator; Samantha Harris and Chris Jacobs are Correspondents; Niecy Nash is Celebrity Panelist.

CBS Television Distribution is a unit of CBS Corp.

  • Why is'nt Rhiall being condemned for what she has done, going after a married man and then getting pregnant. No one seems to be putting any blame on her, she should be put on trial. Women like her should not be able to have children, she could have prevented it. I feel bad for the child, this is her lagacy.

that's why my name is listed as "2010"...i just signed up to let them know how disgusting they are. I don't honestly know how people like this live with themselves. what a way to earn a living, being filthy, disgusting gossip mongers who MAKE SH*T up about people! they should be soooo ashamed of themselves. are all these people satanic worshipers....because if not...and any one of them says they are Christian....then they must be the DUMBEST ones on the planet because they are unable to learn that this is NOT Christian behavior....it's vile and despicable. So therefore, they must LOVE EVIL and SATAN. Horrible, horrible people!!!!
