Simon Cowell Producing Susan Boyle Documentary

The TV Guide Network has announced that it will broadcast a documentary based on the Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle, the Associated Press reported. Titled 'I Dreamed a Dream: The Susan Boyle Story,' the one-hour film will include performances by the "Britain's Got Talent" break-out star. It will also offer insight into her personal life, featuring interviews with her friends and "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell, who is serving as a producer of this project. Premiering December 13 at 8 p.m., 'I Dreamed a Dream: The Susan Boyle Story' will chronicle Boyle's journey from obscurity to making global headlines with her angelic voice, according to the AP.

FX Takes Bite Out of 'Twilight' Series

The FX network has vamped it up by securing broadcast rights to the four movies in the 'Twilight' series, according to The Hollywood Reporter. After the movies' televised screenings on pay cable channel Showtime, the films will rise on the ad-supported FX. FX will premiere 'Twilight' on their network in late 2011, followed by 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' in late 2012, says The Hollywood Reporter. The third installment in the franchise, 'Eclipse,' whose theatrical release is June 30, will make its FX debut in early 2013. The fourth and final story in the series, 'Breaking Down,' is waiting to receive the green-light to start production. In this package deal with Summit Entertainment, FX also gets the rights to air 'The Hurt Locker,' 'Push.,' and 'Knowing,' which stars Nicolas Cage. The three films are scheduled to hit FX in the middle of 2012.

The 'Dancing with the Stars' Final Competition!

The competition was stiff Monday night when Mýa, Donny Osmond and Kelly Osbourne gave their all in an attempt to win the disco-ball trophy on "Dancing with the Stars." Each of the three finalists had to perform three dances -- and the judges' expectations were high. Each couple performed the final ballroom or Latin dance that they have not yet performed on the show, as well as the always popular freestyle dance. The third dance is the "megamix" challenge. In it, the three finalists faced-off in a group number made up of three dance styles: the Viennese Waltz, the Samba and the Jive, all choreographed by “Dancing with the Stars” alum Nick Kosovich. Kelly and her professional partner Louis Van Amstel led off the evening's performances with an Argentine tango. Head judge Len Goodman commented, "You epitomize what this competition is about. You have very little or no dance experience, but you made it to the finals. I thought you came out and danced right up there." Bruno Tonioli said, "You have been the revelation of this season. I never would have thought as you [first] came out that you would end in the finals. [But you have been] dedicated and hardworking. For me though, at times, your free hand was a little loose. Nevertheless, it was very good." Carrie Ann Inaba told them, "After working with you, I am so proud of you. You came miles ahead. There was an intimacy and an intensity [to the dance]. It was very sophisticated." The couple was awarded 26 out of 30 points. Then, last week's top scorers -- Mýa and Dmitry Chapin -- danced a passionate Paso Doble. Bruno raved, "The power of Mýa unleashed for all to admire. Fearless! Flamboyant! You've got the power of the Paso Doble out there for everybody to see." Carrie Ann praised, "I dub you the queen of the Paso Doble. Very dynamic. Very hot. Just what I wanted from you." Len agreed, adding, "You come out like there is no stress. You danced it full out. My favorite Paso Doble was Mel B and Max and this is right up there with it." Mýa and Dmitry started out the night with a perfect score: 30 points. Next up were Donny and Kym Johnson, who showed the judges they knew how to cha cha cha. Carrie Ann asked, "Where did those hips come from? What a breakthrough in the finals: the hips busted out. I love the energy." Len joked, "Ding, dong, Donny. That was a cha cha cha. Bruno must have worked his magic. It is a tough dance. Overall, very good." Bruno didn't rate the dance, but praised Donny's professionalism, saying, "I shouted at him for an hour. No attitude. He took on every comment." Donny and Kym scored 27 points. The second dance of the evening was the group megamix challenge with all three couples on the floor at the same time. Len declared, "I thought this was going to be so easy to judge. But, no. It was really difficult how close you all are. There is no clear winner heading into the winner's circle. You all did spectacularly well." Bruno commented, "Mýa, you can samba. Kelly, your waltz was amazing. Donny, at times, I thought you were a professional ballroom dancer." Carrie Ann also told Donny that she was impressed with the way he kept up with the two professional dancers. Then she said, "Mýa, I love when you do the Latin dances. You make my hips go boom-boom." And Kelly, the grace you bring to the Viennese waltz. I love the line of your back." Mýa and Dmitry took first place for 30 points, Donny and Kym placed second for 28 points, leaving Kelly and Louis in third position with 26 points. The freestyle round began with Kelly and Louis dancing to "I Will Survive." Bruno reassured Kelly, who slipped during her routine, saying, "One thing is for sure, you never looked more beautiful than tonight. You had all the glitz and glamour of the disco era. Sometimes people fell on the floor. It was part of the night at Studio 54." Carrie Ann commented, "The freestyle is giving us what we want to see. You are a survivor. When you fell, you got back up. [When you flubbed], you smiled. You remind us of who we want to be." Len pointed out, "The freestyle is your time to shine. There were a few worrying incidents, but you smiled through it. I thoroughly enjoyed watching you." Because of the errors, the judges scored them 24 points. Mýa and Dmitry then returned with a dance number to a song from 'Hairspray.' Carrie Ann rated it: "High energy, fun, but not outstanding to me. If you do 'Hairspray,' you are competing with that imagery in people's minds. In my mind, it didn't showcase you." Len agreed "100 percent with Carrie Ann. There was a sameness about it, and it never went anywhere. I was expecting something." Bruno added, "You had the vivacity and the joy, you were right on the beat, but at this stage, from you, I was expecting something more spectacular." Mýa and Dmitry earned 27 points from the judges. The final dance of the night was Donny and Kym's freestyle. Len praised, "That was an absolute showstopper." Bruno raved, "Mr. Show Business at his best. You are the master." Carrie Ann enthused, "I love the freestyle. There are some memorable freestyles. Tonight, welcome to the Hall of Fame for the freestyle." The judges' praise turned into a perfect score: 30 points. Tune in Tuesday night at 9 p.m. on ABC when each of the three finalists will dance one more time for judges'-only scores. Then the new "Dancing with the Stars" champion will be announced. Entertainment will be provided by Grammy Award-winning artist Whitney Houston.

Rob said, "Thank you for making 'New Moon' No. 1. It's very exciting to be a part of something embraced by so many people," and then followed that up with, "I hope you are looking forward to 'Eclipse' as much as I am." Kristen wrote shortly after, "You all have proven you're the most amazing fans in the world once again." She also noted, "I feel so lucky to be a part of The Twilight Saga and thank you for making us No. 1!" In closing, Kristen said, "Yes, I twittered. Or twitted..tweeted? I dunno, but thank you sooo much anyway..!"

'Jon & Kate' Say Goodbye

In the final episode of TLC's "Jon & Kate Plus 8" Jon and Kate Gosselin reflected on their marriage and family. Kate was disappointed at the ending of the show, saying, "This is a very bittersweet goodbye for me, because I think the kids are already missing it." The couple commented separately on the breakdown of their marriage. Jon said, "I just did kids my whole twenties. Our marriage fell apart and I felt like I was free." He said that since he got married at 22, maybe he reverted to 23 after the break-up between he and Kate. While Jon said, "We're definitely not going to be married ever again," Kate said, "It always crosses my mind that I should be in the passenger seat and Jon should be driving, every single time. ... I never wanted him absent from that driver's seat." Despite their divorce, both parents expressed a desire to work together for the sake of their kids. Kate said that she didn't intend to say negative things about Jon: "I don't want them to remember me tearing their father apart, who they love." She also pointed out, "They love him and they need to see him but my goal has really been to remain neutral, state the facts, not say negative things about him, and just... it is what it is. He's still their dad and I will never discourage them from being with him." In the end, Kate had fond memories of the show, saying, "It's sad, it's cut short, it's too soon and it's been a great run. I'm very grateful for the opportunity, for the memories, for the memories on tape. During the finale, Jon took the sextuplets to a fire station where they sold lemonade to raise funds for firefighters, while Kate also took the six youngest kids on an outing -- for a hay ride and a visit to a nearby farm.

Executives Explain American Music Awards Editing

"The Insider" has learned why portions of Sunday night's American Music Awards live show were edited for its West Coast broadcast. "Due to the live nature of the show, we did not expect the impromptu moment in question,” ABC, Dick Clark Productions executives and show producers said. “Regarding Jennifer Lopez, execs and producers felt it was respectful to Ms. Lopez to edit the mishap for later time zones." A portion of Adam Lambert's racy performance was edited out, as was a part of Jennifer Lopez's number, in which she fell while performing onstage.

Jennifer Hudson to Sing at the White House

New mom Jennifer Hudson is headed to the White House! According to the Washington Post, Hudson will sing for President and Mrs. Obama and their guests at a state dinner on Tuesday night. The Oscar winner performed the National Anthem at the Democratic National Convention in 2008, when then-Senator Obama accepted the Democratic nomination for president. Hudson gave birth to her first child with fiancé David Otunga, a baby boy named David Daniel Jr., last August.

Mariah Carey to Receive Breakthrough Award for 'Precious' Role

John Mayer: I Equate Dating with Punishment & Shame

The singer/songwriter revealed to the New York Times that in his head, he believes women get him in trouble. "I can’t even explain to you how terrible that feels, that I equate dating a woman with punishment, shame, guilt, disappointment, reproach, reprimand, persecution. It’s a nightmare," Mayer, 32, told the newspaper. He continued, "I should be having sex with more girls." Mayer's fourth album Battle Studies was released Tuesday, Nov. 17 and he revealed what he didn't want the album to be interpreted as, saying, "I’m not going to let it be the record. I think if you’re listening to Battle Studies and you think it’s a record about high-profile relationships, I haven’t done a good enough job.”

Susan Boyle: I've Become a Lady

Internet sensation Susan Boyle is celebrating the release of her new album and talks to "Today" show host Matt Lauer about her famed journey and the song she recorded for those who have bullied her in the past. Boyle took the world by storm when she first appeared on the U.K. show "Britain's Got Talent" where she sang a moving rendition of Les Misérables' "I Dreamed a Dream." She compares her life now to her first televised performance, saying, "I've grown up a bit. I've become sort of a lady." Boyle's new album had the biggest CD pre-order sale that Amazon has ever seen. "It feels very surreal as if it's not really happening," the singer says of her fame. On her album, Boyle recorded a cover of Madonna's song "You'll See." She says the track is dedicated to those who were mean to her in the past. "That was a statement I was trying to make because I was bullied a lot at school," she tells Lauer. "You may have been able to do that to me when I was young but you can't do that to me today." Lauer's entire interview with Boyle will air on Thanksgiving Day during NBC's People of Year special.

Oprah Winfrey's Next Project: Sexually Charged HBO Pilot

Oprah Winfrey's production company Harpo films is teaming up with HBO to launch a sensual and steamy pilot. This news comes after Winfrey's announcement last week that she's leaving her show. The hour long show is about a woman who leaves her perfect nuclear family in Santa Monica, Calif. to fulfill her secret fantasies and desires in the grimy parts of Los Angeles, Variety reports. Winfrey, Harpo Films president Kate Forte and writer of the series Erin Cressida Wilson will be executive producers on the show. Forte describes the show's character, "It is literally a day at the pool, where she gets up, in sarong and flip-flops, and walks out of her life, leaving everyone behind so abruptly that her husband and kids initially think she's been kidnapped or murdered." Cressida is best known for penning the highly sexual 2002 film 'Secretary,' starring James Spader and Maggie Gyllenhaal. In addition to their TV project, Harpo films is working with Focus Features on an adaptation of the Joseph O'Neill novel Netherland, to be directed by Sam Mendes. According to the trade publication, the production company is also looking to adapt an Oprah Book Club pick, David Wroblewski's The Story of Edgar Sawtelle.
