Hills star Audrina Patridge reportedly hooked up with Glee newcomer Mark Salling at a recent party in LA. The 24-year-old was at the Us Weekly Hot Hollywood party in LA at Voyeur and it is claimed she only had eyes for Salling, 27, who is the new boy in FOX’s new show Glee. The pair were reportedly sitting at a shared table where they spent 45 minutes talking into each other’s ears and laughing before leaving with their own entourages. Last month Patridge ended her two-month relationship with BMX star Corey Bohan because of ‘conflicting schedules’.

Daisy Lowe enjoyed spending a week naked

Model Daisy Lowe enjoyed spending the week naked while shooting the new Pirelli calendar. The 20-year-old, the daughter of Bush star Gavin Rossdale and fashion designer Pearl Lowe, posed for the pictures with Australian model Catherine McNeil and they only had a large tyre to hide their modesty. She said to reporters: “It was quite freeing, being able to be naked for a week.” Eleven girls took part in the racy shoot including British model Lily Cole, who was pictured underwater, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who posed on the beach in just a pair of white knickers.

Twilight sequel smashes midnight screenings record

The sequel to Twilight has smashed the US box-office record for midnight screenings. The Twilight Saga: New Moon brought in a staggering $26.27 million for overnight showings, new figures have revealed. The movie, which stars heart-throb actor Robert Pattinson, broke the record set by Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in July. The Potter flick earned $22.2 million in overnight showings on July 15. Paul Dergarabedian, president of Hollywood.com Box-Office, said New Moon’s overnight take ‘portends an opening weekend that could be one of the biggest of the year’. The Twilight films are adapted from a series of vampire-based fantasy novels by American author Stephenie Meyer. They chart a period in the life of Isabella Swan, played by Kristen Stewart, who falls in love with 104-year-old vampire Edward Cullen, portrayed by Pattinson. The series of books has sold more than 85 million copies worldwide and been translated into more than 38 different languages across the globe. After New Moon and Half-Blood Prince, the films that earned the most in midnight screenings are The Dark Knight ($18.5 million), Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith ($16.9 million) and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen ($16 million).

Rachel Bilson, 28, yearns for the simple life. The former OC starlet will quit the Tinsel Town life, which she currently shares with her boyfriend Hayden Christensen, when she becomes pregnant. Bilson said, “When I’m older I really want a family – probably off somewhere really remote. I want to raise my kids where they don’t know what a camera following them is like.” The couple is already testing the water on time they spend out of Hollywood at Christensen’s remote Canadian farm. Bilson, who was hit by the Hollywood Burglars, added: “I have a seven-year-old sister so aware of paparazzi it’s unbelievable. It’s too weird for me.”

Rachelle Lefevre too emotional to attend New Moon premiere after being fired

Twilight star Rachelle Lefevre said she was ‘too emotional’ to attend the New Moon premiere after she was fired from the film saga. Lefevre, 30, played evil vampire Victoria in the first and second movies Twilight and New Moon but was replaced by actress Bryce Dallas Howard in the third movie Eclipse. Talking about her absence from the recent New Moon premiere, she said it was partly to do with her dog Honey being in hospital and partly to do with her sacking. She wrote on Twitter: “2 fans at the premiere: w/ Honey in hospital & being fired from Eclipse tonight was just 2 emotional 4 me & I couldn’t manage it. So sorry.”

Ashlee Simpson Wentz has confirmed reports she will appear in the Broadway show Chicago. The 25-year-old previously appeared on London’s West End as Roxie Hart and following the end of her stint on revived show Melrose Place, she will be heading to Broadway to play Roxie once again. Ashlee will start her run as Roxie at New York’s theatre district on November 30. She said: “I’m honored to be reprising my role as Chicago’s Roxie Hart, returning to the stage and joining this amazing cast. “Being on Broadway is a childhood dream come true.”

Twilight star Kristen Stewart cannot wait for the hype surrounding the new movie to calm down – so that she can relax at home with her pet cat. The starlet, who plays Bella Swan in the vampire saga, has been travelling all over the world to promote the latest instalment of the Twilight series New Moon. But at last night’s Los Angeles premiere, she revealed that she is now looking forward to being “boring” and relaxing with her moggy. The actress, who has a Bengal cat called Jella, added: “I’m so boring. I just want to sit with my cat.”

Harry Potter star denies pot charge

Daniel Radcliffe “categorically” denied he smoked cannabis at a London party. The Harry Potter star was reported to have allegedly smoked cannabis at a hip north London party with the publication of photographs by the city’s Daily Mirror newspaper. A spokeswoman for Radcliffe, 20, said: “Daniel does smoke the occasional roll-up cigarette, but he was not doing anything more than this. “We categorically deny the allegations regarding Daniel Radcliffe published in today’s Daily Mirror. We are considering our position and will be taking all necessary action in relation to such allegations.” The Mirror, meanwhile, said: “While many were shocked by the Mirror’s photos – in which Daniel was also seen giggling as a female friend scribbled a comedy beard on to his face – hundreds leapt to the star’s defence. One warned: ‘If he loves weed let’s hope it loves him back and he doesn’t end up with drug-induced psychosis.’”

Twilight fans camp out for New Moon premiere

Diehard Twilight fans have reportedly queued for five days hoping to catch a glimpse of the hit movie’s stars at the LA premiere of the sequel New Moon. The fans have camped out at Mann’s Village Theatre and Bruin Theatre, in Westwood, ready for the New Moon premiere tonight, according to reports. One Twilight devotee, Alison Genet, who drove all the way from Arizona, said: “I couldn’t get here fast enough.” Her friend, Kim Clarkson, who is also hoping to get closer to Twilight hunks Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner at the premiere, added: “I’m here camping for Robert Pattinson! I’m here camping to see my man!” Twilight mania is set to intensify as the week goes on. New Moon, the sequel in the vampire saga based on Stephenie Meyer’s bestselling novels, is due to hit cinemas in the UK on Friday. Summit Entertainment is hoping to match the success of the first film, which grossed more than $383.6m worldwide.

That helps with my beauty morale. The legs and the arms – those are hanging in there, I’ll show those. That makes me feel like I’m still sexy despite my whole centre of gravity being completely altered.” Elfman is married to Bodhi [Elfman], and the pair showed off Elfman’s sizeable baby bump this week at the film premiere of Old Dogs starring John Travolta. Elfman’s new show Accidentally On Purpose has been picked up for the season on CBS. She advised pregnant women to “show what you feel hot about. For me it’s legs – they’re hanging in there, barely!” The couple has a son, Story Elias, 2. Said Elfman: “He gets it. He gives the belly kisses, he lays his head down and says, ‘Night night, baby’ and puts the blankie over my belly. So he’s got it. He’s amazing.”

Hollywood television starlet Lindsay Price has split with actor Josh Radnor. The couple dated for several months but met much earlier, in 2007, according to sources. Radnor, 35, has appeared on How I Met Your Mother and Family Guy. Price, 32, has appeared on Beverly Hills, 90210, Lipstick Jungle and Eastwick. She started her career singing the Toys R Us jingle in commercials and was once married to writer and producer Shawn Piller. They wed in a 2004 ceremony that took place at Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu, California.

Stephanie Pratt counts her blessings after DUI

Stephanie Pratt, of The Hills fame, reflected on her experience of being charged for driving under the influence. The sister of reality television celebrity Spencer Pratt was pulled over after attending the birthday party of Holly Montag, the sister of his wife, Heidi. Stephanie, 23, said: “It was the worst thing to happen to me and, at the same time, it was the biggest blessing.” Ironically, Heidi and Spencer were not in attendance at the party. Pratt, who was speaking to reporters at the Maxim and Ubisoft launch of Assassin’s Creed II in West Hollywood, said: “I learned to not fall apart, which is something that I usually do when something goes bad in my life. I learned that it is all about temptation and that I am being tested.” Another coincidence was an episode of The Hills in which she berates Holly over drinking. Stephanie also said: “This is the first time that I haven’t screwed up more after a bad thing and I didn’t fall apart and say, ‘I hate my life, I want to die!’ It’s the first time in 23 years that I went the other way.” She also counted her blessings as being made a partner of a dream handbag line and being closer to her parents than she ever had, saying: “I’ve never been happier in my life! I’ve had problems in my past, but I would just let them turn into snowballs that turned into avalanches. And this is the first time that I’ve ever done anything different.”

Lucy Liu travels to Cairo for her sex trade doc

Actress and journalist Lucy Liu travelled to Cairo to promote a film she produced about children being taken and sold into the sex trade in Cambodia. Liu, 40, who narrated for the documentary Red Light, said the fight against human trafficking is “really going to take a long time” and underlined it was the third most profitable business in the world after weapons and drugs trading. The former The View co-host visited several UNICEF-backed programs in Egypt while care was taken not to reveal too much about their locations to avoid stirring political controversy. She said: “The first step is there are a couple of projects that exist and that is something wonderful.” Egypt’s First Lady, Suzanne Mubarak, launched a global initiative to fight human trafficking in 2006. Liu, meanwhile, also recently made headlines in relation to diplomatic rescue of her kidnapped sister and another journalist from North Korea, by former President Bill Clinton.
