Classic beauty Kate Beckinsale looks nothing short of bangin’ in the August issue of California Style magazine. Inside the issue, the British actress admits she was “frightened” about moving to America - because she was convinced she would be forced to undergo a full body makeover. Says Kate, “I was very frightened of L.A. at first. I thought the first thing that would happen is they are going to file my teeth down, inflate my bosom and just be mean to me - and that’s sort of what has happened.” So how paranoid is she? Kate had demanded a body double for her latest film Whiteout because she felt self-conscious about her bottom’s size. Amy Winehouse Available in Wax

A waxwork of Amy Winehouse was unveiled by her parents, the petite figure towering almost 6ft tall in killer heels and sporting a huge beehive. Mitch and Janis Winehouse launched the Madame Tussauds work in the Music Zone of the venue popular with tourists. The model of the Grammy Award-winning Back to Black singer wore the same outfit that her real-life inspiration wore to the Brits - a thigh-skimming mini dress teamed with black high heels and huge red hooped earrings. Madame Tussauds said it was the first time the London attraction had immortalised the vocalist. The 3ins beehive and 5ins heels made the figure, complete with signature black eyeliner, just under 6ft tall. The singer’s parents, who were at the venue with other family members, were full of praise for the waxwork, which joins other A-list names such as Madonna and Justin Timberlake. Mitch said he was “stunned” at the “incredible” likeness to his daughter. He said his daughter was in the middle of working at the moment but would go to see the waxwork in the next week or two, when she would be “as blown away as we are”. He thanked Madame Tussauds for “rising above the general hype, the bad publicity about Amy. “This is the reward for her musical achievements and her talent.” The figure captures Winehouse frozen in full song, complete with her tattoos - from the winged ankh on her back to lightning bolt, horseshoe, song bird, pin-up girls and “Blake’s pocket” above her left breast.

Jennifer Aniston Earned More Than Angelina Jolie in 2007

Finally, Jennifer Aniston has come out on top. According to Forbes, the 39-year-old actress earned more than Angelina Jolie in 2007. Aniston raked in $27 million in 2007; Jolie, 33 - who just welcomed twins with Aniston’s ex Brad Pitt – took in $14 million. In terms of female earners, Cameron Diaz claimed the top spot with $50 million, Forbes reports. Keira Knightley pulled in $32 million, beating out Aniston. Academy Award winners Reese Witherspoon and Gwyneth Paltrow each banked $25 million. The men still made more than the women overall. Will Smith earned a staggering $80 million; Johnny Depp netted $72 million, while Eddie Murphy and Mike Myers both took in $55 million. Leonardo DiCaprio banked $45 million. The Black Eyed Peas star Stacy ‘Fergie’ Ferguson is in talks to star in ‘Nine’, the new musical from ‘Chicago’ director Rob Marshall. Variety reports that if she signs up for the film she will join an all-star cast of Daniel Day-Lewis, Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman, Sophia Loren and Judi Dench. Shooting on the film will begin in October in the UK.

Eva Longoria has taken her name out of the running for this year’s Alma Awards. The Pappy Cyrus Family Foundation is named after Cyrus’ paternal grandfather Ron, who died in 2006, and aims to help deprived children across the U.S. by providing improved health care, education and community support. And Cyrus has taken the first step to raise money for the organisation by giving fans the chance to accompany her to the premiere of her forthcoming film Bolt. The wig Keira Knightley donned in new movie The Duchess was so heavy, according to contact music she needed a special headrest to support her neck. The 23-year-old plays an aristocrat in the forthcoming 18th-century drama and had to wear a heavy wig as part of her elaborate period costume. And the hairpiece was so massive, the film crew created a custom resting post to take the weight off the slender star’s shoulders. Knightley’s co-star Hayley Atwell recalls, “I loved filming The Duchess - Keira has a great sense of humour. She had to wear this huge wig that was so heavy they made her a board that she could lean her shoulders and head against in between takes so she didn’t topple over or get neck aches.”

Britney Spears To Pay Kevin Federline $20,000 To Care For Sons

Britney Spears will reportedly pay her ex-husband Kevin Federline $20,000 a month to care for the former couple’s sons - an increase from $15,000. The pair finally reached an agreement on the care of their two young sons on Thursday (17Jul08), following a bitter 18-month custody battle. Under the new deal, Federline retains sole custody of Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, one. But it has emerged Federline will also receive additional child support in the settlement. Spears, 26, maintains her visitation rights - with two visits and one overnight stay allowed each week - and she may also be granted an additional overnight stay by the end of the year. A source tells People.com, “All Britney was seeking was a formalisation of her increased visitation that she’s obtained over recent weeks, and the additional overnight. She won both of those requests.” It has also been reported Federline’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, received $250,000 for his work on the case.
