Man vs Food Tonight!

Tonight on Man Versus Food, Adam heads to Little Rock, Arkansas. Hitting up a super large BBQ, and a habañero sauce that will make you sweat! The main challenge in this episode literally made me cringe. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Adam sweat so much from a spicy challenge. He hits up the Mean Pig BBQ to take on a super spicy pulled-pork sandwich known as the Shut Up Juice Challenge. Over 4,000 people have tried this challenge, but only 64 have completed it. I bought the dogs Christmas sweaters haha!! I dressed Rascal as Santa Claws and Martini as Mrs. Claws lolol. The dogs hated them but they looked soooo cute with them on! I know it’s a little early for Christmas stuff but when I saw these sweaters I just couldn’t help myself! I love the holidays How cute are the doggies? Even if they are miserable.

In the morning of November 22 1963, President Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas. It was 46 years ago, but ask ANYONE who was alive, and they will tell you where they were and what they were doing. My dad was just 12, going to Lincoln Middle School in Oceanside, CA. An announcement came over the school speakers that Kennedy had been shot. Can you imaging being 12 and hearing that at school?? Reading the cover of the Extra edition of the Los Angeles Times (pictured above) can bring me to tears. I have no real understanding what the political climate was, or what people’s true feelings about Kennedy were. But reading that Jackie Kennedy was “cradling” his blood covered body at the hospital crying “Oh, No” just hits you that this was a real man, and grieving his wife. He may have been a lothario, and questionable president, but he was a husband, a daddy, son and brother. As well as the President of the United States of America. To see the Walter Cronkite iconic moment move the 5 minute mark.

People Magazine has chosen their homecoming king, and this year it’s Johnny Depp. This is the SECOND time that Depp has won the Sexiest Man Alive title. He first grabbed the crown in 2003. Also on the list, the usuals, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Jake Gyllenhaal, blah blah blah… But there’s also Gilles Marini, Blair Underwood, Gerard Butler and Jon Hamm. Sandler and Leary on Obers Death

After the passing of Remote Control’s Kenny Ober this weekend, two of the comedians who got their starts on the show have spoken out. Adam Sandler and Denis Leary both got started on the MTV game show. [Adam] Sandler says, “Ken Ober was one of the sharpest, quickest, sweetest guys I ever met. He was always a great friend and I will miss him very much”. And [Denis] Leary echoed his pal’s sentiments, adding, “Kenny Ober was and always will be the quickest wit in the room. As the star and host of Remote Control, he was a welcoming ringmaster who helped to kickstart the careersof numerous talents, including Adam Sandler, Colin Quinn and myself. “He will be remembered always by each of his friends not only for his massive talent but for his true, deep and enduring friendship”. Remote Control Host Ken Ober, Dies

Ah man! Ken Ober, the host of MTV’s Remote Control has passed away at 52 in Los Angeles. Lee Kernis, a manager at Brillstein Entertainment Partners who represented Mr. Ober for more than 20 years, said that Mr. Ober was found dead on Sunday. He said that Mr. Ober was last heard from on Saturday night, when he spoke to a friend and complained of a headache and flu-like symptoms. Mr. Ober told the friend that he was going to take something and would see a doctor as soon as possible. I remember watching “Remote Control” on MTV when I was in school. It was when MTV still played videos, so some of you might be too young to know what I’m talking about. That show, which was the network’s first original series to focus on non-musical content, tested participants on their knowledge of television, music-video and pop-culture trivia. The show, which also provided a launching pad for the careers of comedians like Adam Sandler and Colin Quinn, drew much of its sarcastic, self-mocking spirit from the culturally obsessive Mr. Ober, who ran the program like a late-night talk show (or frat party) and gleefully teased players who gave wrong answers. Colin Quinn was my favorite part of the show. Well, that and the falling snacks from the ceiling during breaks. There’s no word on cause of death for Ken. What a bummer.
