True Blood star Alexander Skarsgard looking forward to shows next season

True Blood star Alexander Skarsgard has said he is looking forward to shooting the next season of the hit show. Skarsgard, 33, plays the role of vampire Eric on the hit HBO series and said he can’t wait to start filming again. He said: “It’s been like five or six months since I’ve seen most of them. I miss the whole cast and crew. It’s sort of my family away from my family in Sweden.” The other vampire phenomenon taking the world by storm in the Twilight saga movies, and New Moon was released on November 20. Asked if he will be watching it, Skarsgard joked: “When does it open? I’ll get my sleeping bag and wait in line.”

Return of The Beautiful Life hashed

The Mischa Barton series that was canned in New York, The Beautiful Life, may get revived. The Ashton Kutcher produced The Beautiful Life was dropped after two episodes but a Facebook fan page indicates it could return to run unaired episodes. The show mined the lives of aspiring young models living together in New York a la Friends. Supermodel Elle Macpherson, who once appeared on Friends, played the part of a wizened model agency head. Barton’s participation in the show attracted much attention since it immediately followed her breakdown in Los Angeles over the summer. A representative of CW, meanwhile, noted the network was not connected to the Facebook page and told a New York newspaper: “The status of unaired episodes has yet to be determined.”

David Beckham is to spend his Thanksgiving in US army barracks to boost morale on a trip to Germany. The 34-year-old star will fly with his LA Galaxy teammates to Kaiserslautern in Germany to support the military campaign in Afghanistan. Becks will reportedly be visiting the army troops and their families during the trip. The team will be out in Germany on November 26, which is Thanksgiving and is an important time for the US soldiers. Beckham will be joining his teammates to play Kaiserslautern FC in a friendly match on the night of Nov 26.

Heather Locklear pokes fun at Britney Spears on US chat show

Heather Locklear poked fun at Britney Spears for not wearing underwear during a US chat show interview. The Melrose Place star appeared on The Jay Leno show when the host asked her if she has ever been confused for another celebrity. Locklear, 48, said: “In 2000 I was on some kind of music awards show and I had long hair and people started cheering because they thought I was Britney Spears. But I think it was because I wasn’t wearing any underwear!” Leno responded: “I’m not going to ask how they knew that.” To which Locklear screamed: “I was wearing pants!” Locklear is reprising her role as Amanda Woodward in the Melrose Place remake on US TV Tuesday.

Amy Winehouse’s dad Mitch has said his daughter hasn’t been given enough credit for what she’s been through. Cabby driver Mitch, who has his own online celebrity show, said that daughter Amy, 26, who has beat her drug addiction in the last year has not been given the credit she deserves. He said to UK magazine Heat: “I think she looks great, every bit of her – including the boobs. “She’s doing fantastic and I don’t think enough credit is given to her about what she’s achieved over the last year. It’s been nothing short of miraculous.”

Hollywood actor Johnny Depp has reportedly told pal Nicolas Cage he will help him out with his money troubles. Depp, 46, reportedly earns $80 million each year and has said he will give Cage, 45, “whatever he needs” to get out of his financial crisis. Con Air star Cage owes $7 million in a tax bill and is suing his former financial manager for his bad advice. A pal said to UK newspaper Daily Express: “Johnny called Nic and basically told him not to worry and he’d help him and sort everything out. “Johnny feels he owes his career to Nic and now wants to repay him – If Nic agrees.” Depp was reportedly a struggling singer when he met Cage in the eighties and he sent him to his agent where he landed the part in A Nightmare On Elm Street. The pal added: “Johnny has never forgotten what Nic did for him.”

Liz Hurley has revealed she has started swapping a glass of wine for vodka in a bid to stay in shape. The 44-year-old mum admitted that she has changed her diet to keep her slim figure and has cut out coffee and wine. Asked if she misses wine, she said: “No, I don’t miss having a glass of wine because I’ve switched to vodka. “I don’t really like vodka that much but if I’m at a party I have a small one with a lot of fizzy water and a huge squeeze of lime. Initially it’s like medicine but I’ve got used to it now.” Hurley now lives in Gloucestershire with husband Arun Nayar and her son Damian, seven. She added: “I used to drink an awful lot of coffee, but I was told after the age of 40 you have to be careful with coffee and wine. “Apparently, that can be one of the reasons older women get bloated around their stomach.”

Heidi Klum bounces back from birth to host Victorias Secret show

Supermodel Heidi Klum will host the Victoria’s Secret fashion show, making a swift return to work following the birth of her daughter Lou Samuel six weeks ago. Ed Razek, president and chief marketing officer of Victoria’s Secret, said: “Heidi is superwoman. She had a baby a few weeks ago and she is hosting the most high-profile fashion show in the world. Victoria’s Secret is thrilled to have her back. There is no one like her.” The show is set to take place on November 19 and will go to air on CBS on December 1. A fellow model from Victoria’s Secret Angels, Alessandra Ambrosio was clearly excited about the deal, saying: “She can do it all. She’s a great mom and she’s got so much going on. She’s an inspiration.” Klum, whose new baby is her fourth with musician Seal, recently said she wanted to “take it easy and see what happens”.
