Now that he's passed away and the reality of it has had time to settle in I am going to feel a little weird watching him in this movie. Kind of similar to that feeling you get right before entering the funeral to view the body of someone you knew well.

Media Whore Continues to Exploit Pregnancy

Well sure she is pulling a publicity stunt. She just released an album and since nobody cares for her music she needs to try to keep the publics attention in hopes that people might get curious and buy her album. On the positive side in Rolling Stone magazine it said that Justin Timberlake and several other quality acts helped with her new album. It said that her music was reminescent of the '80's and sometimes sounds like Siouxie and the Banshees. So I am quite curious to hear this but I dont think I'm ready to dump $17 on it yet.

Mayor Kwame's Wife A Murderer! Only in the Murder Capital of the U.S.

More news on Detroit's mayor, Kwame Kilpatrick. The latest is that his wife, Carlita reportedly hit, the exotic dancer, Strawberry with a baseball bat after walking in on her while she was performing for Kwame in his house. She beat her so bad that she needed to be hospitalized. The police that were present at the party put Strawberry in the hospital under the name "Jane Doe" to hide her true identity. Because nearly all of Kwame's closest friends are in the police department it was'nt too hard to get rid of hospital records. After Strawberry was released from the hospital she went to the police department to file a report and press charges against Carlita. Shortly afterward her body was found shot to death. A lady who was foremerly employed at the Detroit police department has come forth to say that she remembers Strawberry filing police reports but could not explane why the reports have dissappeared. Christine Beatty has just hired a new lawyer. Officials are hoping that she will confess and reveal crimes committed by Kwame in order to lighten her own sentence for breaking the law. So look for her to flip flop on Kwame to save her own butt. Too many people are involved. It's just a matter of time before people in Kwame's circle start to roll over on him. They are going to start interrogating the police officers that have a more personal friendship with Kwame. Kwame Kilpatrick and Christine Beatty both have just entered pleads of not guilty. It is remindful of the O.J. Simpson trial in the sense that everyone knows what happened to Strawberry, the exotic dancer, but getting evidence is going to be nearly impossible. Even the text messages found from Christine Beatty to Kwame may eventually be useless if they are unable to prove that it was Kwame that typed them. Time Life Magazine is going to feature Kwame in their next issue and not in a good way. Great job representing our magnificent city! It's people with the same thug wannabe mantality as Kwame that keep our city in the hall of shame. I really hope the movie producers are paying attention. Kwame's career in Detroit would make a smash hit in Hollywood.

Hip Hop Mayor of Detroit Turned Thug

Kwame Kilpatric was the youngest person to ever become the mayor of Detroit at 31 years of age. He has cost the city tens of millions of dollars which is a lot considering the city is completely broke. The mayor came on to the scene looking like Sug Knight, or any other major rap star. All of his child hood buddies, about 20 of them anyway, were hired by the city as police officers and became his bodyguards. They would all go with him everywhere he went. Other mayors in recent years would have approximately 4 bodyguards when making public appearances. Kilpatrick and his posse reportedly traveled to other cities on official business trips and would be seen staying out 'til the break of dawn at night clubs. Now the mayor is suspected of being involved with the murder of a beautiful young lady who went by her stage name Strawberry. She was a professional exotic dancer who worked in the city. She was shot several times by a .40 caliber Glock pistol. A gun that is issued to police officers in the city. While it is possible that any civilian could also purchase this type of gun it is highly uncommon as the ammunition is quite a bit more expensive than that for other handguns. Shortly before Strawberry was gunned down she was reportedly hired to dance at a party at the Manoogian Mansion which is where the mayor of Detroit resides. The party was held while the mayor's wife was out of town. All of Kwame's bodyguards and other friends were invited to the mansion. Appearently the mayor's wife arrived home earlier than expected and caught him with Strawberry and caused quite a seen threatening the dancer with physical harm. There were a couple of veteran officers for the city investigating the murder of Strawberry. When the officers trail lead them back to the Mayor their long time careers were suddenly terminated and the murder went unsolved for several years. Recently the Mayor was caught lying under oath about an affair he was having with another city official again at the expense of the citicense of Detroit. All of this unwanted attention has brought up more questions about the reasons given for the termination of the officers and the death of Strawberry. The people of the city and surrounding areas have decided that it is enough. It is time for Kwame Kilpatrick to step down from the mayors office. He has brought shame to the citicense that voted him in for the second term in office against speculation that he was up to no good. Innocent until proven guilty is the law and we are greatful for it. If ever there was a time to listen to our gut feelings ,though, this is it. The murder of Strawberry goes unsolved and there is a lot of very suspiscious accusations involving Kilpatrick. Keep your eyes on "The D" to find out what the future holds for the Hip Hop mayor of Detroit.
