Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk photocopied his face for amusement when his baby woke him up in the middle of the night at a hotel. The 41-year-old became a dad for the third time last year when his wife Lhotse gave birth to their daughter Kadence, now 17 months. He posted a picture of a copy of his squashed face on his Twitter page along with the message: “Here’s what happens when your baby wakes up at 5.30am in a hotel and the best form of entertainment is a colour copier.” The skateboarder also has two sons with ex-wife Erin Lee – Spencer, 10, and Keegan, eight.

Twilights Ashley Greene dresses up dog as American Football cheerleader

Twilight starlet Ashley Greene dressed up her dog in a cheerleader costume to support her favourite American Football team on a US chat show. The New Moon actress put the pooch in the Florida Gators outfit when she took it along to Jimmy Kimmel Live. She also shared a snap of the dog – who was not named on the show – in a party hat as it celebrated its birthday. Ashley told Kimmel: “It was her birthday yesterday. I got her a little cupcake. “She chowed down on it and then she passed out.” She told a laughing Kimmel, fellow guest Jake Gyllenhaal and the studio audience: “She has a very good life, I will have you people know.”

Roman Polanski to get out of Swiss jail on Friday

Fugitive director Roman Polanski will be released from a Zurich jail on Friday. His bail of a cool $4.5 million in cash was not raised outright and Polanski has had to stay in the nick for several days after it was granted. “Roman Polanski will be transferred on Friday to his chalet in Gstaad,” said Folco Galli of the Swiss Justice Ministry. The sun-drenched chalet named Milky Way was flashed across TV screens around the world as it was reportedly prepared for house arrest. Polanski, who could yet face US extradition, will wear an electronic monitor bracelet that does not have GPS tracking. Polanski has fled 30-year-old charges that he had unlawful sex with a minor in Los Angeles in 1977. US authorities were last heard pushing ahead with his extradition.

Joe Simpson says daughters Ashlee Simpson and Jessica Simpson are not failures

Joe Simpson has defended his daughters Ashlee and Jessica and said that they are ‘not failures’. The Simpson patriarch recently saw his younger daughter Ashlee, 25, give her debut performance as Roxie Hart in the Broadway show of Chicago and he said: “We as a family are under a lot [of] pressure.” He added that people want ‘to make us look bad and want us to fail’. His elder daughter Jessica, 29, has had a tough year as she has been criticised about her weight, had to mourn the death of her dog Daisy and was dumped just before her birthday by boyfriend Tony Romo. Ashlee has been looking after her one-year-old son Bronx and she also had to face being fired from CW’s Melrose Place. Talking about her departure from the show, Joe said: “It was never a loss. The world says whatever it says. [The world], again, always wants to make it look like we’re failures but we’re really just a family that works hard.”

Tori Spelling quietly repairing relationship with mother Candy

Tori Spelling has reportedly been quietly repairing her relationship with her mother Candy. Tori, 36, and Candy had a highly-publicised fall-out following Tori’s dad Aaron’s death. However, it’s now claimed that the two started talking again in September when they were both admitted to hospital. Tori was hospitalised for a stomach ailment and Candy had back surgery. It has also been said that Candy has finally met Tori and her husband Dean McDermott’s 18-month-old daughter Stella and got to spend time with their elder son Liam, two, whom she hadn’t seen in a year. Candy’s rep declined to comment and a rep for Tori did not immediately comment.

Kim Kardashian: Im now at a healthy weight

Kim Kardashian has said she is at a “healthy weight” after getting in shape using weight-loss product QuickTrim. The 28-year-old recently posted a picture of herself on her blog after using the product, which she and sister Khloe endorse, and showed off her bikini body. She said: “I really feel like I have reached my fitness goal and now I am toned, fit and at a healthy weight. I just need to keep it up!” On Thanksgiving, Kim recently tweeted that she was looking forward to sweet potato souffle, fried chicken, turkey, dressing and cranberry sauce. But she said that she was going to hit the treadmill and work off the pounds while the food is in the oven. She said: “No excuse for getting lazy during the holidays.”

Mike Tyson, snapper scuffle not captured on LAX camera

An alleged fight between celebrity boxer Mike Tyson and a photographer was not captured on Los Angeles airport security cameras, according to TMZ. Authorities are still determining what if any charges will be laid following the alleged altercation between Tyson and the snapper, Tony Echevarria, on November 11. Echevarria, a paparazzo, reportedly has footage of the incident on his camera. Iron Mike maintains he struck Echevarria in self-defence after the photographer bumped into a stroller carrying one of Tyson’s children. Tyson’s four-year-old daughter Exodus died in May after a tragic home accident. Both Tyson and Echevarria were arrested after the incident.

Hugh Laurie would love to be Bond villain

House star Hugh Laurie has said he would ‘love’ to write an episode of the show and his dream job would be a Bond villain. Laurie, 50, is well known across the world for his role as the miserable Dr House and he said that he would love to write an episode. He said: “I’d love to write an episode of House sometime, but I am not equipped. Those guys are cleverer than cats. “I’d love to direct, as the cliche goes, but then I’d lose any right to complain about how hard I work – and I do love my complaining.” Laurie also admitted that he would love to play the role of a Bond villain in the future. He said: “It’s the best gig going. I also love Dr Who. I grew up with it. I’d play anything that involved less than five hours in the make-up chair. “I also love doing voice work. You can wear your own clothes if you want and read from a script.”

Other features that await the starlet and her Lakers husband include a gym, theatre, and pool and spa along with an outdoor cooking area with two refrigerators. The lovebirds recently tied the knot at a lavish private ceremony in the Hollywood home of a friend that was noted for its romance.

Vampire movie The Twilight Saga: New Moon has gone straight in at the top of the box office chart in the UK and Ireland. The second movie in the four-part series brought in £11.7 million in its first three days and made three times the amount of movie 2012, which was knocked off the top spot by the film. The Coen brothers’ comedy flick A Serious Man came in at number eight bringing in £302,985 and Disney movie A Christmas Carol dropped from second to third after taking £2.2 million. Disney’s other movie Up is still in the top five and in fifth place, Michael Caine’s film Harry Brown.

Roman Polanski nude photo to be auctioned

A nude photograph of the imprisoned director Roman Polanski and his late wife, Sharon Tate, will be auctioned and is expected to bring in more than $10,000. Christie’s auction house is putting the Polanski image under the hammer. Vice president Laura Paterson said: “It’s an important image. It certainly is provocative because of who the characters are. But it’s also a touching naked shot of a happy couple. And [David] Bailey does capture the ‘anything goes’ flavour of that period.” Polanski, 76, has made headlines in recent months after being arrested in Switzerland at a film festival on 30-year-old charges pertaining to sex acts with a minor in California. He is expected to be extradited to the US. A pregnant Tate was tragically murdered by Charles Manson followers. The photograph is a large-scale gelatin silver print and comes from a Bailey image taken in 1969. It shows the couple entwined and naked from the waist up.

Star Treks Enterprise given makeover for auction

Artists have given Star Trek’s Enterprise stunning sci-fi makeovers. The one-of-a-kind models are being sold off as part of an auction of props and collectibles from the JJ Abrams blockbuster and are expected to sell for more than $2,500 each. New York artist Will Lemon III gave the Enterprise a renaissance look, while Polish artist Olka Osadzinska gave the Enterprise a wild tiger appearance. The Afro-Punks gave it a modern rock poster feel, while Italian graphic designer Turbokrapfen gave the Enterprise a Pop Art look. California artist Amanda Visell created an Enterprise “inspired by the playful and inclusive nature of Star Trek”. Funds raised in the Las Vegas sale by Julien’s Auctions will benefit Children’s Defense Fund and Student Veterans of America.

Vatican no fan of deviant Twilight

The Vatican has spoken out against the new Twilight movie that is sweeping the globe, slamming it as a deviant moral vacuum. Twilight Saga: New Moon, starring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, has had sensational box office takings since opening in France and Spain ahead of its US release on Friday. Monsignor Franco Perazzolo, of the Pontifical Council of Culture, said: “Men and women are transformed with horrible masks and it is once again that age-old trick or ideal formula of using extremes to make an impact at the box office.” Vampires are not traditionally the creatures of God, and their popularity among the young disturbs the Catholic Church. Perazzolo continued: “This film is nothing more than a moral vacuum with a deviant message and as such should be of concern.” The Vatican has also attacked J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter books and films for offering subtle seductions that it says corrupt children’s Christian faith.
